metroid prime (1/2 and 3)

it will take you a lot longer on the hardest setting then it did on normal mode, trust.

Going to pick up Metroid prime 1 again and start playing it again, i blame you pink (but its not bad really :O )

and why call it a Revolution, but not Wii?

Cause I think the official name sounds too retarded to use, so I call it by it's much more fitting beta name. After all... it did revolutionize gameplay of most games.

To move this away from a Revolution/Wii debate... (I personally prefer Wii, but this ain't the place...)

I really enjoyed Normal Mode, though I spent about 16 hours on it. 100%, though... Not that it's hard, due to the presence of the Observatory, which marks all powerups on your maps.

Started Veteran, for the full-completion satisfaction, and am on Bryyo atm.

Biggest problem I have? Missiles. (Warning: Very minor item spoilers.)

Seriously. It's not a problem with their mechanics, more a problem with supply. Other than the Seeker Missile Launcher, there's no way to consume more than one Missile at a time. With the 255 cap still in, it's nearly impossible to run out of Missiles, because you don't need the Seeker Launcher to beat any bosses. The heat/cold Beam/Missile partnership is cool, though.

On the flipside though, the Command Visor is wonderful in battle, once you get the Ship Missile upgrade. Bombing run!

There's always been way too many missiles in Metroid games... XD I imagine it's designed to be excessive so those people doing "minimal items" runs would just that much more possible.

you can do the game with about 50 missles on normal mode (i had 205 max and the lowest number i went to was 157 lol)

And yes, the commend visor is cool. i just like to bomb (well missle) things to get it over with (when i cannot be bothered to kill normally)

Also i didn't lke how they got rid of the power bombs Sad they where so fun IMO >.<

But in the previous games we had charge combos to eat up the missile supply. I actually ran out of Super Missiles during the Omega Pirate fight in Prime 1.

Really? I never use more than around 30 missiles in that fight... and by the time I get there I usually have 100% of the missile packs or just under. I didn't use the charge combos because they were wasteful and not worth it... XD I just stuck to my Super Missiles or charged shots. XD

I played MP 3 the other day, didnt care for actually, i found it to be REALLY easy, especially since you aim with the wiimote, making any weapon a sniper. What i thought funny was the kid in front of me (it was a demo version at a mall) kept dieng from a small monster, it took 2 hits to kill it, and he couldnt aim straight XD. I find that as the metroid series goes on it gets easier in difficulty, but more of a pain. For instance, in 1 you could scan stuff, but the priority was killing, in 2 the priority was scanning, a MAJOR pain in the ass, in 3 it seems as though the priority is to integrate the motion controls and just through w/e junk in along with dark samus

try it on the vetran mode/hypermode, then you will experence hard ;p

intergration on the motion controls has almost made the game harder aswell (well for me anyway, at low health i tend to do suddion movements, which fuxes up my aim >.<)

WARNING: THIS POST CONTAINS TEENY-TINY SPOILERS.

A point of pedantry: Super Missile is a charge combo.

Charges combos worthless? In Echoes, maybe. Prime's Flamethrower, yeah, but the Wavebuster and Ice Spreader are awesome times, I'unno, a bajillion. Yeah, the Wavebuster costs a missile a second, but most enemies are dead in four at most with it. It owns Metroid Prime, too.

Also, Bmil, get the full game. It's plenty challenging later on, especially on higher difficulties, the story makes more sense, and the motion sensing controls, most importantly, feel so right, as well as allowing adjustments to the game to take advantage of this. And you haven't seen sniping until you've found the X-Ray Visor and Nova Beam.
