Are you using an official memory card? Mine corrupted instantly when i was using my unofficial one.

I dont think a memory card would be the cause of the connection error. Although it is highly advised that you use an official memory card instead of an un-official one.

I had to be told how to unlock 60hz mode believe it or not..

I cant undersdtand what the error means... i thought it might be a HTTP error number but this is the definition for 100:

HTTP Error 100
Continue. Not really an "error", this HTTP Status Code means everything is working fine.

hey hey i was just trying to help.... and are u using broadband or 56k? and the servers might have gone down for matinence and just before anyone says so (too late but o well) 1: unofficial memory cards dont make that happen and 2: not all unofficial mem cards are unreliable. remember that.

If your ISP is AOHell, (AOL), then you can't use the GC online with them.

Sometimes the server disconnects me for no reason, it could be that you get hit by these.

Can you access the PSO spash-site, also, remember to keep note of when they do server updates, (most ships generally maintain activity, except during major updates, such as yesterday morning in the EU ships).
