My FO (Anguirel, brought up in another topic) shares the name of one of Tolkien's elf-knives.
My RA is hideously named - who in their right mind names their RAcaseal Rydia?? (If you don't know Rydia is the summoner-girl from FF4 whose village gets blown up by the Bomb Ring). My four other (important) characters are all based on the C'Tan from Warhammer 40K. Two names are GW's own (Kaelis Ra the Nightbringer and Mephet'ran the Deceiver, aka. Jackal God) while two are my own ideas based on the source material in the 40K Codices (Morr'vahl the Outsider and Khol-saim the Voidstalker, aka. the Dragon). If anybody wants to question the reliability of my source material I'd be happy to give page numbers...

i just sit and day dream till sumthing cool pops into my head my oldest 2 chars r named onisenchi thats japanese for demon soldier and snake gets his name from metal gear im kinda a big fan of the series going all the way back to the atari versions before solid got added to the title

Mainly from games and a DARKMATTER(long story).
