No, soft reset will never corrupt you, on the contrary, it can help prevent it.
By "soft reset" I meant pressing and holding down B+X+Y+Start buttons. If you're online, this will save & quit the game. If you're offline you will return the menu screen discarding all changes. So go offline, open the Easter Egg, and if you do not like the weapon you got, soft reset and repeat the process.

i have an extra but i'm offline. both the ones i have i found accidentally from a love rappy and a hildeltorr. why do people want those things? they may look cute but they aren't too strong.

i used pinkal love rappy and purplenum hildeltorr (the temple one, not forest). bluefull also gets them from love rappies and redria also get them from the 'torrs. oran can also get it from a spaceship gran sorcerer (1/1260)
