On my XBL, I use a wireless B router with a wireless B game thing to go along with it. I never lag even though I have a crap internet connection. It works and only costs like $80.

Wireless B, is that a brand name? Is there a specific model number/name to it? I'd need specifics to look them up.
Jarl: Same thing, is there a model number or name to your Cisco router?

There is wireless B and wireless G. Wireless B does not run as fast as wireless G (not by much), works awesome, and is a crapload cheaper. I use a LINKSYS wireless B router, and a LINKSYS Wireless-B game adaptor. Don't go to Best Buy because they only carry wireless G stuff which is insanely high priced.

I have 2 xboxes on wireless. Just hooked them up last month. I've been moving my modem back and forth from computer to boxres' router for 2 years, partly because I didn't want to invest into the wireless setup if it couldn't handle gaming, where lag will ruin your game (especially Halo2, lol). It was too far to run ethernet wires properly, over 100 feet of wire and you'll lose too much.
I have a D-link Airextreme G. Do get a G wireless and not a B, they've come down in price so there's only about $30.00 difference and my G uploads at a rate just over 450, compared to 250 from a wirelss "B".
You'll need to get the wireless router and a wireless adapter for your cube as well.

Oh my god, now I have you pay 65 (maybe even 100) dollars for PSO online? Sonic Team must be the most bastardized people in gaming industries EVER. I am willing to take that comment back if a Router is something I am suspected to have for purposes aside from PSO... like I bought one for my computer or something and is also compatible for my GC?

Well, ours will also be expected to support various laptops with their own wireless adapters, so they can be used all over the house, and also allow multiple computers (and the GC) to connect to the internet at the same time.
Where can I find exact prices of the Linksys routers? I'll take a look at their site later if they have one... see if I can answer my own question...

So chances are the average computer guy might have one, ready for the GC/PC/whatever?

yeah, really all you're doing is providing a window to the net via radio waves instead of a wire. It can be used on any other computer including game systems.

Interesting. Okay, I looked up the Linksys Wireless G, which is what the rest of the household wants, and I found that RadioShack is selling it for $59.99. I went to my local RadioShack and confirmed that they had it, but didn't buy it yet (the sale ends on the 20th, so I have that long to decide).
On the box, it mentioned a "gaming adapter." Is this necessary for connecting a GC to the router? Could someone explain?
