well you have to imagine skipping from hard forest straight into v. hard forest, the improvements in equipment that you grab is insane. that one run-through geared me up really good. it's like skipping the eighth grade and going to high school. can we say "swirley"?
but then, i don't know what you mean by "good equipment".
i have this "secret gear" stuff that looks like it's supposed to be the cat's pajamas (9.5 stars), but on v. hard i got slapped around by boomas. boomas of all things. eh. unless your frame plays the role in your ability to block. i dunno, i'm only two weeks old in this game.

Well, it's strange, when I'm certain about something, I'm certain, and the fact that it happened to my friend aswell. IMPOSSIBLE.

The fact of the matter is, I am really confused right now. Wen't on with another person, beat DARK FAWLZ on hard without a hitch. Boom, No problems there. But christ, even a 79 had trouble, No wonder me and my friend died the first time.

haha it was classic on my end. i went with my girlfriend on hard to beat dark falz and we thought we beat him (not knowing about the new morph he goes into with the bright lights and such).
even then we did decent, but somewhere along the line we both got nixxed at the same time. i go back to the bank and lo i have 10 meseta total in my account.
now, it's habit for me to go to the bank before going into any fight and depositing my meseta, and i never visit the nurses to heal, so i found the whole situation odd.
my girlfriend was fine, however. i only lost 100,000 meseta in the floop and gained all but 40,000 back (gave 20g to another character, thus making it actually 60,000) but you get the picture.
so, i don't know. i'm inclined to credit you with a little bit more consideration on all this, but sadly, i still find myself to be prone to accidents enough so that i might have just jacked up at the bank beforehand.
all i know is, meseta's not my chief concern, so it didn't hurt me too much. just kick the pants offa the mines a few times, you'll be good to go.

How is it strange? If you loose all your Meseta that's with you when you die, and you have all but 10 of your Meseta on you and you die, then you loose all but 10 of your Meseta. It's very simple.

yeah, i know now for sure that that's what happened to me, even though it took another mishap to prove it to me, but some people aren't as easy to convince.
games do have bugs sometimes. this just isn't one of them. they'll figure it out.

my best guess is the lvl 79 had it on Very Hard to begin with and you just didnt know, then you forgot to bank your mesta as did your friend and poof! this topic came up
