Underground Musical Groups

Scott from what you said before and then after it seems almost a complete story change. Kinda like lying by ommision, ya know?

i admire the people who actually put their abilities to use... i just sit there unused, practicing daily, etc. Waiting for enough people to start a band. My friends learning drums and I already have someoen whod do guitar, ive got bass and we'd need a singer (i cant do two at once). But hey life goes on i just like playin my bass. =)

That is the dumbest shit I have ever heard. I couldn't have phrased that any other way. I'm sorry but everyone needs a band. How stupid are you? When you do a performance there MUST be a band:

A) you cant play all instruments at once (recordings aren't the point of performances)
B) no-one goes to a show to watch a keyboard

C) no one would consider you good because what you are doing takes half as much skill and getting a band to play it

He has a point...
Besides, keyboards are just emulation, some musical "tricks of the trade" just can't be pulled off on a keyboard.
Anyway, I don't care how much I'm getting paid, I just want to make music because that's what I want to do with my life.
Haven't you got that through that thick head of yours?

Oh, and by the way...
We have no proof that you have any musical skills whatsoever.
You could just be some poor little baka sitting in his mom's basement for all we know.
And for the moment, I think I'll go with that theory.

Heh. Well, it seems my comments have cut deeper than you would ever like to admit.
Could it be that I have discovered the truth?

That aside, I have nothing against solo artists who actually hire a band compared to what I have against people like you, who think they can do everything themselves just by flaunting their wealth with some stupid keyboard.
The point is: you can't. You can't even come close.

Also, I'll admit that my musical talents are nowhere near profesional, but I will say that the term "profesional" is a grey area. What defines a professional musican, hmm?
Some kid who got a lucky break?
Or do those who have played by their own rules for years before signing with a record label fall in this same category?
If you're talking about the lucky kids, then I'll have to say I'm playing at a professional level. However, if you want to talk about the level of musicianship presented by such bands a Dredg, Coheed & Cambria, or a slew of others, I'd have to say that I'm just some rookie.

Really though, Scott. I'd expect a "professional" such as yourself to retain a sense of cool, like I do. Don't get angry just because some "tramp" hit a soft spot, hmm?

Oh, and if you want to talk music again, come back when you're all grown up.
Maybe by then you'll learn what music is really all about.

We hit a soft spot. Wink
You and your keyboard couldn't do what those solo artists can do. They do hire bands if you knew that. Your wealth and your degrees don't really stand for much. I could go get a degree and still not have learned anything. And you say we have no proof..... well. Do we have proof about you? No.... no solid evidence. How come I've never heard of you.... get a camera and take some evidencial photos.... if you're making a jackload of money. I'm not jealous of you either.... I don't really care. I just see something wrong with how you act, how you think youre the best with your keyboard. To be honest I think you would look mighty stupid on stage with just your keyboard. Not only that when people see you up there and hear your "good music" they won't think much of it cause its pre-recorded onto a keyboard which took no true skill to do. They will raise their eyebrows and leave.

I think it would be better for yourself if you didn't act like you do. Stop flaunting your wealth at people cause no one cares (it just bothers me that you do it). And quit saying you're the best. You are not. You can't be put anywhere next to a good band. Its just true.

It doesn't matter, Scott.
You've lost, can't you see that?
Nothing you can say will ever reapair the damage your own words have done.
I can't help but pity you.

Calm down guys!

Scott Bull, I was thoroughly agreeing with you, solo artists can be very good, then you listed some solo artists whom I don't think even write their own songs...
Hey, I can still..
