KenKi Wrote:=(^_^)=. How exacly does that mathmatical thing work. Me and my friends are very very confused on that fraction on how it works comapared to how we are.
1st of all welcome to the forums and enjoy your stay.a drop rate of say 1/788 (points to sig) everytime you kill that enemy the chance is 1/788. not in every 788 times you kill the enemy it will drop 100% of the time. if that made no sense than don't worry lol Smile

So basically you have a 1 out of 788 chance of winning the item in said example ? =(X-X)= Otay why didn't you just put them into %s ?

You are correct. And it's not in percentages cause' people like a rough idea of how many of an enemy they need to slay to stand a good chance of finding an item. Also many items are less than a 1% drop.

You think that was a lame drop? try 1/12,000

1/788 is a ~0.13% chance, or
0.126903553299492385......% as my calculator tells me, so writing 1/788 is more exact since that's how it was programmed into the game. Smile (Argh, I didn't much like statistics in maths class at school).

The percents are also less easy to visualise. If you have a rate of 1/788, then you know that you need to kill about 788 enemies to see the drop. Although the percents is how it works, most people find it easier to understand fractions when applying them to 'real life.'

And, hello. I hope you have a good time here, and that you don't get swamped with information. If you're interested, my forum is always looking for new members. While the focus is Ep3, there are sections for other aspects of life. And we're all very friendly!

If you start to play online, PM me. I can help you avoid hackers. You may still run into some but I have a number of non-complex methods to 'pretty much ensure' you stay safe online!
