I don't reckon with nukes there's any real reason to develop new billion dollar weapons, except if they were cheapr in the long run and equally or more effective.
I mean come on, Hiroshima! That was horrific and the nukes these days are far more powerful than that. If a big country really wants to stomp a little one, that's how it gets done. Because no lives have to be wasted on one side, and no war has to even be fought.
The future will porbably just hold scaled up versions of what we already have, or more eccentric ways to set them off.
