PSU... Better than PSO!?

When I first heard news about PSU I was excited. The idea that we would be getting a game similar to PSO, but with much more improvements seemed awesome. From the previews that I read, it sounded like our battle system would become more complex with much more possible combos and strategy involved. Is that the case now that it has been released? NOPE. Instead you mindlessly MASH one button, you don't even have to time your attacks anymore. You get no combos whatsoever... no Normal, Hard or even Special Attack. Your only attack is the "Mash Attack". Then they throw in the Photon Arts which seem totally cool until you realize its just a flashy attack, which again you basically just spam. So in reality, the battle system is LESS complex than PSO and gets old REALLY quick.

i played psu at a friends house and the game was rather boring, pso is also boring, but it has something different, something special.
psu is diferent from pso no doubt, i prefer playing pso then playing psu, i feel more confident, the chars walk and run in a smooth way, and the atacks are more realistic, psu graphics are good, the cenarios bigger and the criarures different........but pso has it's unique gameplay

I just started it because i find psu more compelling.

but then again i was only really online on PSO with the DC ones, and my super slow Blue Burst I have at the moment. T_T

So, attack-attack-attack-ow-ow-die is less dull than attack, sidestep, attack-attack-attack, cause pain, sidestep, stepback?

I dunno, people can be so weird sometimes. More options get added and somehow these options make things more boring?

On PSU i manage to get by fine just tapping one button and healing every now and then ;3

Nah I played for a couple weeks when I got it back, got bored though so I sold the game.

PSU is crap compare with PSO in offline mode. I don't know about online because i never played online.

Yes. PSU's offline is so lacking it's not even funny... yet I managed to entertain myself with it for 2 months. XD Online's heavenly in comparison.

It was the same way on PSO... offline was a lot of fun (and certainly ridiculously more vast than PSU offline)... but it wasn't difficult at all... and it got boring quick because I wasn't playing with anyone else. That's why on PSO online became quite heavenly too once I started making friends.

Both games are different entities entirely for me, so I tend not to compare them.
