I'll Post here what ive posted on my own thread, I didn't realise there was already a sticky for this subject so sorry for posting it twice but i think everyone should know this

Also I have changed what i said slightly because i feel it more accurately reflects the truth.
"OK, so heres a way i stumbled across to stop FSOD. Its worked for me every time i've used it (I've used it more than 8 times) and i think its only right i share it with the rest of you guys

.
Things you will need:
2+ GC controllers
A secondary character
OK, so, your ging into a lobby or down into a game or something and the screen frezes totally, FSOD! Dont worry, heres what you do... Turn off your GC, select single player offline or online game. Highlight the character you were just playing as and check for a message like "Game didnt save properly blah blah items have been lost". OK, dont go into a single player game if this message is there, instead, back out and go into offline multiplayer mode. When it said "Items have been lost" it wasn't actually telling the whole truth. what it actually meant was "items will be lost at the start or end of any singleplayer/online game (non splitscreen)".
When you start the Offline splitscreen, youre items are still all there (sometimes if you have multiple weapons or armour in your inventory NOT equipped, the non equipped armours and weapons will be lost, usually whatever you have equipped will NOT be lost... so just carry one of each with you from now on, no biggie eh?).
Drop trade all the items you want to keep to the other character, then, quit the game (sometimes i use FSOD as an excuse to clear out my bank of unwanted items, lol). Go onto a singleplayer or onlie gametype. Highlight your character. Sometimes if you are lucky, the "Items have been lost" message will be gone by now. If not, go on the game with that first character anyway. OMG! Shock horror! All my items are gone! Oh wait, no they're not i told you to trade them. Quit the game. This has ALWAYS cleared the message for me. Trade back all the items you need for online play, and your away! (heck youve lost 10+ mins of your life doing all this but hey

).
Whats really amazing is that i can keep this all in my head. I don't know why the saving dosen't clear items on offline multiplayer, it just don't. I dont hear anyone complaining, so, there ya go, maybe I'll find some more cures soon."
-Also note
1.) If you use an official mem card (grey, nintendo, small, you know the one...) with Only PSO ep. 1&2 on it (possibly ep. 3 as well) the chance of a full corruption is dramatically reduced compared to 3rd party mem cards like 4gamers.
2.) If you get the screen when youre going into a game where youre almost up in the air in a kind of 1st person view with ships flying by, this is not FSOD (many people think it is). To solve it either wait quite a while and eventually you'll "beam down". If you cant be bothered like me press reset on th cube and it'll quit out and save your game (as opposed to actually resetting ).
This does not work on actual FSOD.
3.) If you get the corrupted message and feel like suicide (hell we all been there

) Turn off ure GC and go to the mem card screen when you re turn on the cube. Delete youre guild card data. i have found about 60% of the time its the card data thats corrupted. So you lose all your friends but you keep your char and make a new guild card file (this will be automatically prompted).
4.) Yes being legit does help stop corruption and im pretty sure the reason why is this: Say you have a 1304 mag, sometimes the game can get confused to exactly how the mag has exceeded its maximum lvl and tricks itself into thinking corruption has occured when really there isnt a faulty file. I think the being legit helping corruption/FSOD is only to do with mags/stacking items/exceeding maximum wepon percentage though, un-legit weapons shouldnt hurt as long as theyre not tampered with. I am legit myself and would reccomend it to others but if you want to do these things and run the risk its up to you.
5.) No a hacked sealed J cannot turn into a TJ sword. duped ones might be able to, but theyre is a slight difference between the files of the hacked and non hacked sealed J sword that stops the hacked from turning TJ. Maybe the hacked TJ could cause corruption to because of the difference in the file? I'm not sure. Best ways to gaurd against that is to stay away from any sealed J you havent found yourself.
6.) Yes there is a legit way to get the red ring, its a 1/80 chance for any section ID but whitill (which is 1/40 i think) off Ulti dark falz. if you see it after the battle it will be over the edge where you "cant get it". Yes you can get it, and no its not a glitch i think you were intended to do it this way to show initiative: if you have meseta on you, drop it in batches of one until it starts to be pushed over the edge. eventually it can push the red ring to the other side. That clears that up then.
Again, i hope this helps you all out in the future
