Firstly, God, must have missed that part. If I missed it, sorry. But the Haste Boots were the only real thing missing, so bleh. (How the hell did you find that anyway!? That sites incredibly hard to find, even for me! And I go there!!!)

Nextly, KOTR is Knights of the Round. You can only get it if you breed a Gold Chocobo, which makes the meaning of Ruby Weapon incredbly useoess, unless you're a perfectionist (the Chocobo you get from the guy in Kalm is useless in races - it goes about 30 km/h).

And God, please, tell me how you find that guide. I'm itching to know.

for the golden saucer fights i equipped cloud with KOTR (knights of the Round) and mime. The slots, as someone said, can be made easier by repeatedly tapping the square button. When this is pressed it will hide the slots but pause them. Having a ribbon equipped should help, and NEVER get the cured by the slots, as this reduces your battle points alot. If you really need healing, leave with the battle points you have. My battle strategy is extremly poor here, as you may well guess, as KOTR takes a long time, and is a bit OTT. try drinking hero drinks (or using Dragon Force enemy skill, as the do the same thing) to increase your attack power, and then use double cut or 4x cut (the materia of which can be found in the sunken wreck underwater in the first room leaving the hall.) to do up to 39996 damage per normal attack. of coarse if your using this strategy make sure you have alot of health, and decent cure magic (if you have white wind enemy skill, use that before your health falls lower than 1/2 of max).I was about to suggest using final attack with life, but that would be rather silly of me....

A decent glitch for FFVII (forthose of you who havent heard of it) is the W-Item glitch. It can be used to replicate any item usable in combat. First of all, get the W-Item materia (you get this when you go into the subway in midgar near the end of the second disk. Go towards the screen instead of heading to fight the turks and follow the subway. This takes a long time but I assure you its right there at the end.) when you have it equip it onto any character. In battle, have that character use the item command (now titled W-Item). Firstly have them use the item you want to replicate, on anything. This does NOT require 2 of the item you wish to replicate, as many people say. Then, select the second item. It does not matter what this item is. When about targeting someone/thing to use it on, press the cancel button. The original item will have had another item added to it. Then just keep on pressing ok then cancel. Using this can put the amount of every item you have up to 99. This is especially usefull if you have a megalixir or a vaccine (i believe you can only get 2 vaccines in the game although there is a magic that has almost the same effect of it, but i forget what its called.).

Rare Materia: Magic-
Contain: in mideel. can be collected at any point in the game. When you see the white chocobo (when mideel is destroyed you have to jump up a cliff on the left hand side of the map) feed him some greens and te scratch behing his ears. He will then give you the contain materia.

Ultima: In coral. Can be collected after you have tried to get the huge materia from the coral reactor.. Is the most powerful magic materia in the game, and requires one level up before it can be used. If you stopped the train a girl by the well will give you this for free. If you failed to then she will sell it for a rather hefty sum of money.

Full cure: In Cosmo canyon item shop. Unknown when you can first colo On the right side of the cliff there is a ladder. Climb the ladder and the is a many inside. Speak to him and he will give/sell the materia to you. This materia fully heals the target. It must be levelled up once before it can be used.

Shield: In North Crater. Can be obtained in the third disk. when you go down go right at the first junction, and follow that path. When you get to a room which looks like its grassy with water look for a small spot of green near the water. The W-Magic materia can be found nearby. This materia needs to be levelled up once before it can be used.

Master Magic: In cosmo canyon. Can be obtained after the green Giant Materia has been collected. After you have mastered every Magic materia in the game (one of each) the walk up to the giant maeria and examine it. It will then fuse all of your mastered materia into one materia, which allows use of every magic in the game.

Summon-

Kjata: In the sleeping forest. Can be collected any time in the game. On the left hand side there is a red spot jumping forwards through the forest. Catch up to it and grab it to obtainthe Kjata materia. This is a quad element summon.

Typoon: In the Forest of the Ancients. You must have defeated Ultimate Weapon Or have a gold chocobo before you ca get here. Im not sure if a green or black chocobo can make it up the cliff. Follow the route throught the forest and you will come acroos the Typoon materia. It is wind/gravity element summon.

Bahamut ZERO: Cosmo Canyon. You can obtain this once you have collected all the Large Materia. You MUST have the bahamut and Neo bahamut summons to collect this, and have rescued all of the large materia. once you have done this (you only get one opportunity to collect the bahamut summons and one opportunity for each of the large materia) examine the blue large materia and you will be given the bahamut ZERO summon. This summon is non-elemental, and always does 9999 damage.

Knights of the Round: Round island (Invisible on the world map, near the top right corner). A gold chocobo is needed to collect this. This is the most powerful materia in the game, attacking all enemies 13 times with non-elemental attacks (despite what the sequence shows). This uses the most MP in the game also.

Master Summon: Cosmo Canyon. This is obtained in the same way as Master Magic.

Command-

Mime- Materia Cave, south west of Wutai. Can be obtained when you have a black chocobo. This materia copies the last action made by a party member, except other party members limit breaks, at no MP cost. For example, Cloud could use his Omnislash limit break, and have no-one else do anything. Then he could just use mime to do it again.

That is all basic information if you play the game a lot...

About your arena strategy...the only thing wrong with it is that you have to be pretty far to get all of that...the enemy skill for a major part...I usually get Omnislash the first time you go into the Arena area (the first time you are allowed to)...and if this guy cannot beat the arena...it probably means he isn't very good..so he probably doesn't have any of the required bits for you strategy...I just put about 3 counters on and then constanly heal when needed....another glitch...use regen..and open the disk case..and you will constantly gain life over and over...and the monsters will not attack...so if you have to..resort to that..it works well...

Zero..I was NOT inferring you to be stupid..it was the other guy...Theunnamed one or something....so you were wrong about me refering to you....I would have said your name if it was you...

all that info up there is things i thought would help people who needed help. If your really an FF7 fan then this is not really new, but obviously some people need it. Anybody could do that, its simple enough, right God?
BTW in that guide you posteed you dont NEED any more than one party member and you dont NEED to cast mighty guard. After all, your health should be high enough to survive, and you wouldnt need to heal. In fact, with the possible exception of the haste boots (which saved me the time i did it) you dont NEED to do anything more than that. You might be able to cut a few corners, but nothing more is necessary.
And that arena strategy works. I know it does. Although i dont see the point in getting omnislash the first time you go, unless you already have all of clouds other limit breaks. Which reminds me--

To get limit breaks you have to either:
a)defeat 80 enemies
b)use your current limit break 8 times
c)use a limit break item (omnislash, cosmo memorie, final heaven, chaos, catastrophie, highwind, great gospel and there is one more i forget).
the one thing is that it does not always give you the next limit break in sequence. It depends on which happens first, and you cannot use the limit break items untill you have got the second lvl 3 limit break (except with vincent, who only has 4 limit breaks).
Can someone help me out, putting point to point please?

I agree...I could do that indeed...although I have a question..there is a few materia in the Crater..and..I believe that there is one, almost at ground Zero, that you cannot go back when you get it...it is something like mega all or something...can you get out of the crater with that...or is it just me that cannot leave..?

Cause I got the shield materia, and the other ones..but..that one..

Edit: yes you do..if you use KOTR..he uses Ultima..even with all of the best stuff, a couple hits can kill you...and even if you try to heal, he will hit you before-hand...so you do need more than ONE party member...just to heal after the Ultima hit...

perhaps the haste boots could help you...but I think it is a little close with that...I prefer to use more party members..it not only goes faster, but you don't have the chance of him hitting you and finishing you off

meh. When i defeated emerald the only thing that turned the battle was the heast boots, and i couldnt keep my party alive, no matter how i tried. Also, i was around level 80 when i did this, and i never used sources, so its probably possible to do it much easier if your stronger.
Also, that strategy works with ruby. Ive seen it work 3 times now, without fail.sure, ultima packs a punch, but if your fast enough...

and yes, you can get out of the crater with all of the materia. The point of no return is when you get to the floating rocks, just before Jenova Absolute (i think thats her name). The materia is called mega all, in case you dont know, and makes every command all (except certain magics) including steal, mug, and attack.

To get mega all, on the level just before you meet back with your party, there is a waterfall with a small pink materia in it. When you jump on the rock next to this waterfall, tap ok to collact the materia. It requires pinpoint timing, and is annoying to get, but you can get it. Also, if you sent people down that way, sometimes they will give you the materia. I dont know what the chances are, but once vincent gave it to me.
