I just got this game yesterday, started playing it this morning and it is SO much fun! i'm really not too good at it though; i think i'm on chapter 6 or so in easy mode. my characters are all around level 10, and haven't yet switched classes. this is the first game of this type that i have ever played, and i'm really having a lot of fun playing it! i can just sort of sit back and think, then watch my army smack the other one around. i find it so sad that whoever dies in battle dies forever, because i'm now scared of losing my favorite characters! all i have to do is get better at planning my moves! the story is very good so far, and the characters are all so cool! i really love fire emblem!

Finally, my continuous nagging to you actually got you to buy a title. Did you get the one for the Gamecube, or for the GBA? Wow, You got pretty far for the short amount of time that you've actually had the game. Level 10 each, though? Damn...is EXP really that easy to get in easy mode? It took me to chapter 20 to get all of my important characters to 21.

It's a great game, and great story, but the fact that it's so short is breaking my heart.

Yeah, Easy mode gives you a monopoly on EXP.

First play: Lost Volke and Tanith.

...In my defence, it's really hard to keep Volke alive if he's underlevelled (I've always hated auto-promotion), and I only lost Tanith in Endgame, so...

I'm on Chapter 10 in my second playthrough, and Oscar is going to be my first unit promoted. I'm also using Rolf more than I did last time (I had to bonus EX him up to a respectable level really late on).

FE7, Hector Mode (Normal), Battle Before Dawn is giving me trouble; specifically, Jaffar. He has no self-preservation instinct, and keeps blindly dashing towards the archers and getting filled with arrows.

This wouldn't be a problem if I didn't want the sidequest.

hehe..thanks Orphen. actually, now i'm more like chapter 10 with only 4 characters in the darn battle i got stuck on....levels 17, 14, 10, and 10. also, since recently i got the 'extra EXP assigner' thing, so i have gotten levels a bit easier. god, i hate this level; here's what happened when i ALMOST beat it: Me;"yay! turn 8! now all i have to do is wait for the enemies to finish moving, then i would have beat the level!" Titania;"this is way too easy! *slashes enemies*" Priest enemy guy;"mehehehe! while all the warriors are distracted, i will make my way up to capture that base over there!" Soren;"noooooo! they've captured our base!" Ike:"oh god....Mist...and the others! i'm afraid we've lost!" Me;"no...........way..........." the end.

Haha. You need to try to guard a little more efficiently. Keep Titania on the bottom opening of the place, and Put Boyd and Oscar on the right side of the keep openings. Put Ike behind Soren on one opening of the area, put Rhys and another fronline fighter in front of him. Then you should have a nice blockade that no one can pass unless you get someone killed, although I did this stuff at like, level 8 on all my characters, so I am sure it'll be no problem for you. Be sure to heal your guards alot also.

well, i would if i HAD all of those people! what i do is put Titania on the right entrance with all of the heavy armored knights, which she can easily kill. Ike is at the bottom entrance, protecting the place from those horse riders that he can kill because his weapon has an advantage on them. then, Mia and Soren both guard the left entrance, one casting spells and the other doing heavy damage. then, after Titania has gotten rid of all the heavy armored guys and there's nothing left there but puny wizards and archers that Mia and Soren are switched to take care of. Titania goes to the left side and kicks some spear guy and Ilyana butt, which she can also do easily. Ike stays at the bottom, because there's really nothing hard left there. My only problem is that there is always ONE guy that just sneaks past the crowd and invades the fort. I also use a lot of items to keep my weaker units alive.
edit: never mind, i just beat it and now i'm stuck on chapter 11 with....too many party members. now all i have to do is avoid getting killed by that black knight guy in 1 hit....i guess i'll just run up to the exit before he gets the chance to kill me...and not hide my characters right under the shack he comes out of!

You let Boyd, Oscar, and Rhys die! How could you?! And you don't even have Zihark or Ilyana, who I think you actually get in that chapter.. Also, be sure to get Ike to talk to her, and get him to level 20 before chapter 19.

NEVER USE YOUR BEGINNING PALADINS, THEY ARE ALL JEIGANS AND JEIGANS ARE VERY, VERY, VERY, BAD!......Unlike most other Jeigans Titania actually has very good stats later on in the game, but I never use her through Chapters 1-20 respectively. Jeigans are the paladins you start off with, since they're so strong, they suck all the experience from all the weaker units, they are horribly overpowered in the beginning of the game but turn out to have much weaker final stats because they come early and don't have a chance to make up the 10-20 levels they would have gotten had they not come promoted. NEVER USE YOUR JEIGAN!....If you want to use one, wait till later in the game.

I unfortuantely made this mistake the first time I played FE:7.......I was so unsespecting and Marcus was so cool. Much to my dismay many of the later units were very hard, and I ended the game by restarting that file. All I had were a level 20 Rath, Karl, and Marcus....Not the greatest team by far.

Chapter 8 was easy.....It was that damned chapter 11.....I had the mission going good until the BK walked out and slaughtered my Marcia....
