In my experience, it's usually the demon's that get's damage cancelled. For instance, if there is a frozen mob, and a HUcast swings his sword for let's just say 1000 damage 3 times, but at the same time a RA has Demon'd the mob twice. The mob still needs considerable amount of more damage until it dies.
I don't see demon's as only a special, but as actual damage. In my eyes the HUcast damage cancels the RA's higher damage. I guess people just like to see 4 digit numbers. I personally like to see a little purple symbol on an enemy. But hey, what do i know, right? But given what you've boiled it down to, I'd suggest putting kings on the racast, and zalure on the ramar.
wat
So demoning an enemy with 1000 HP down to 250 is better than killing it, eh?
edit: and thats an example, before someone tries to be stupid and take it too literally edit2: And to illeterate more, demon's is fine, but having a team with 3 RAs all spamming demon's is stupid. I've noticed demon's damage cancels more than normal attacks, so it's even worse.

Except I'm really not going for either as a special for Will. Again, I'm trying to go for a special with some kind of utlity as opposed to power.
WN: Maybe so, but I'd like at least SOME utility on my needle, still. Even stylists can have utility standards.

Then I should ask him sometime. (though he made a reference to his FOmar's S-Saber when he asked to be on the stylelist on my site)
Hrm, I'm seriously considering finding a duped S-Needle, putting Chaos on it and trying it out (offline of course, as not to obtain any exp from a duped wep) just to see if the special is any good on a needle at all... :S

Kefka Wrote:I think PJ should know the answer to this.lol, I got owned ![]() I'm actually wondering how useful chaos would be on a needle. I might make one and see how well it works sometime. Confuse traps would be way better for droids, but maybe on a RAmar/RAmarl it'd be good.

whiteninja Wrote:Define "utility"Has some kind of special use. For instance, Double Sabers can be used on casting FOs to steal TP back while doing almost nothing in terms of damage. Which is not to say weapons with utility specials can't be powerful, that's just an obvious example. Anyway, I talked to Kaida (who apparently has used an S-Needle with Chaos before) and he put in a good review for it... so I'm seriously looking at a Chaos Needle now.
