Yes, but they can also just be smart, and more effective, and stand back and kill crap with magics. The God/HPs and such are helpfull, but you're more likely to live, and win, if you sit back and kill the monsters from away using techniques.

Forces don't even have enough HP to survive melee-ing, let alone be good at it, and you won't waste nearly as much TP if you know what/when to cast and have a decent weapon w/ a tech special attack. Melee forces are only remotely decent at the beginning of the game (about till hard mode) when you can basically just give them an Akiko's Frying Pan or Elysion, and they'll do fine.

It should be obvious at this point that I support melee fonage, because this is the power that gets underestimated.

FOmars, FOmarls and FOnewns melee in ult all the time. And they have no problems doing it. And I've played with a fone that has done it in ult, and was pretty badass at it. Most often or not, FOmars will tear shit apart with a saber type, while you have fomarls doing the soul eater/banish ownage, and fonewms combining thier destructive ra attacks with mech usage.

FOmar has 1002ATP, FOmarl 872 something and FOnewm 840 something.
FOmar has 163ATA, FOmarl 170, FOnewm 180 something. The minimum ata you need to hit anything in ult epI is about 155(in the brackets), FOmar is close to being screwed over but they manage, in EpII there is a huge problem because you need much more ATA.

It tickled me how you threw in the fryan pan and Elysion, especially seeing as both are the worse weapons in the game for a fo. Anyhow unless you've tried yourself, you can't really have an arguement against it.

I will leave out fone melee. However - Decoyboy my mag is 5/30/34/130 and no that's not what I wanted but I lived with it. I dont melee either, fone needs a very specific setup in order to pull it off.

It takes quite a bit of practice to get good at meleeing a FO.

Having done it almost 2 years now I am very skilled at it.

I've got a little FOney for multi with my brother (HUcast). We're both about level 30 untweaked. One time we were in Ruins and I decided to melee, so I equipped a saber I'd picked up off the ground. "Look! I'm doing damage! Look, I just did one damage to a Dimenian! Ooo, that time I did two!" And he was like "Stick to the spells, dear..."

...and, uh, yeah. I can see that a very high level FOney might be able to melee in some areas of Ult if she's owned everything already and wants a challenge, but I don't think it's advisable in any other situation. There's a real difficulty too finding multi-hit weapons for a FO, especially if you're offline. (My problem with my poor FOmar right now, and the reason he goes pure casting past Ult Caves). FOmar's all right meleeing with the right equip though. Having fed mine his limit of HP mats, and with a good level of Deband, he's not quite as fragile as he used to be.

But I would not like to try it with a FOnewearl.

fo.s have their benefits and drawbacks. my lv89 fonewm fairs well in ep1 ult atm. lv29 rabarta is almost as good as an androids freeze trap, freezing most monsters first time. suffer with lowish hp though. i find using god hp. god body, perfect resist and god mind help.

lol, dam right- i miss or do 0 damage, except with my cadecus, in which case i cheat and shoot fireballs
