Other way around. The Red Mechgun is 1/900 from a Del D in Redria, which can be done using 1/2 EN#4 runs. The Spread Needle drop in Redria (a bad one, by comparison) is 1/359 from a Dark Bringer. The most of them you can get in any online quest is 12, by doing full runs of EN#4. Bringer's are best gotten with offline Ruins runs. But with the time it would take to hunt that, you could probably get the S-Rank Needle easier. (better too)

EpII C-mode is clearly harder, the bosses are incredibly overpowered.
As for hunts, I'm hunting V502, at the moment, either from Oran Astark or Yellowboze Kondrieu.

Except a Skyly could hunt an Ancient Saber more than 3 times faster than a Yellowboze. O.o
