Omar Wrote:I played the Beta when the cd image was first leaked on the net, but lost interest after getting to about level 5. The main reason for this game seeming tedious to me was the language barrier, my lack of a controller adapter (at that moment in time) and the lack of new, or even old features that were actually available.
I keep thinking of playing some more BB now they have activated most of the features and I finally have a controller adapter, but I can't really afford an extra hl right now =/
Level 5? How are the levels conducted?

PSOBB is not in English and the characters are stored server-side, so cannot be backed up.
It is a Jp only PC game that can still be played on other region's computers, but only in Japanese thus far.
By level 5 I meant I got my HUmar to around level 5 and stopped playing.
If anyone would like to learn more about PSOBB, then I suggest you look at the guides we have here or make a new topic about it. This topic is for the discussion of hacking on PSOBB.

I'm betting there will be, even though it's all stored online, it'll be hacked, just like everything else in history.
There'll probably be some lil' program you can download into the PC's offline files to edit the program or something.

So far there has been very little hacking on PSOBB. The lack of a big non-jp community means that most of the people on it truly only want to be legit.
The most renowned hacker is banned from the servers and ST have been quick to patch any loopholes that are found by his friends.

All the guy has to do is get his IP number changed surely, and Sega's ban will be useless, and it'll be even harder if the IP number is dynamic/modulating surely?
I still think online games should be released simultaneously, (and PSO1/2+ should be released in EU, this would make it fairer for all users).
Lastly, company's like Datel should put a "kill-chip" of somesort in their devices, so that they don't work with online games, (I'm sure they tried this with games such as SSB on N64).
