I'd think the sheet would help, mainly because I've never RP'ed before! Maybe some of the sheet would be more fun to find out during the RP, like leaving it a mystery! Unless the sheet is private; I'm just saying, it's kinda hard to write something clever if you know everything about the mysterious person you've just met!

Like I said, it's mainly for writing, not RPing. So most of it would be confidential anyway.

At the very least, basic character sheets will be required for all participants in an RP.

This is not done to leave a "mystery" around the person, it's to give people who're interested in either A)reading the RP, or B)participating an idea of the current build of a character: motivations, ambitions, height,weight, eye color, powers (If applicable) name, age, weapons, ect.
You don't have to post what route your character is going down and exactly how they're going to develop, that's part of the fun, using the moral code you established in such a character to decide what to do that will develop the story. But a basic background bio is required.
