Sonic Tails and Knuckles sightings in the lobbies

Many threads concerning this matter have come and gone, so I thought before I saw another one, id clear this up.

Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, NiGHT, Elly, Red Ring Rico, Flowen and some other set NPCs can be played as but usually only in the lobby. There have been screenshots of Sonic Tails and Knuckles playing in a game, but apparently only with handguns.

These characters are either placed in the lobby or in a game somewhere for a specail occasion (and do not move) or, they have been enabled as a player character by a hacker, or more likely via a code.

This code is illegal to use online, but, it is not harmful to the player or the players around the special character. Sometimes, people play as this character to disguise themself as a Sonic Team member, this is a false guise. Often, such players will perform lobby or game FSOD, so be advised.

I take it these are pictures from the old PC version of Phantasy Star Online... well the top one anyways.

The old PC version is very easy to see hacked to death which is why Sonic Team went on to create Blue Burst, because there was so much of it, if they tried to make a difference, theyd end up with no players whatsoever, or destroying the game!

The top one is from the PC ver. 1&2, the bottom one is from Ep 1&2, but the bottom one was a special occasion (sonics birthday i believe). However, It is possible for some players to get the set NPCs into a game even on episodes 1&2, i will post more pictures when and if i find them. It might be an idea to make this a sticky, or to create a similar sticky to this one on the same basis the king rappy sticky was created.

I can remember seeing Sonic run through my TV when I was in the Lobby, I always thought those were Sega guys. I would love to see them again, dot care if they are hacked.

Yes the bottom picture is of Sonics Birthday, celebrated during June sometime - theres loads of other pictures of him and friends around PSO in a Comments... thread on the forums from last year.

The bottom picture shows (In tho old PC version) Sonic in the character selection screen. Ever wondered what class he was? Well he's a Humar apparently! Yeah, soon I should even be able to disprove that silly Humarl myth surrounding Red ring Rico. Just to spoil all your fun, guys? Aren't I great?

Edit - Sometimes These characters may appear mobile in quests such as Dream Messenger. So here's a picture of NiGHT doing his thing for all you offliners!
