I don't personally have an XBOX and haven't owned one since almost a year after they came out. XBOX games haven't really caugh my interest after Jet Set Radio Future(which is still my fave Xbox game!) and Panzer Dragoon, but I've been reading the write-ups and reviews for Jade Empire and it sounds very good. I was curious if anyone has this game or has at least played it so I can think about getting an Xbox back after all these years. I really would like to go back and play all the great SEGA titles on Xbox but I need a killer app to justify the purchase and I believe Jade Empire could be it. So if anyone has any details or opinions on this game then please post them, if it's as good as the reviews say then I might be buying an XBOX again.

Hmm...I only breifly played this game...it wasn't bad..but I can't say much it was only a brief gameplay...but i liked it

Regardless of the lack of opinions in this thread I already purchased an XBOX and Jade Empire about four days ago. I agree that the story, customization and atomosphere of the game is incredible. The amount of sidequests is utterly ridiculous! I also love the engrossing world they created with it's heavy chinese background and history, it's so well detailed that you might think it actually existed. The only problem I have with the game is the quiet and unremarkable audio. The game is almost dead silent half of the time and there's not any inspiring music tracks in it at all. I'm not saying that I don't like listening to my own music on my stereo while playing, but it would have been cool to have some high intensity kung-fu/beat em' up music to accompany the great battle system.

yea, i agree. theres not much music or anything in the game. o well...at least everything else kicks
and yes god-ix i do own it. i got it wednesday i think...yea thats right. its soooo coooool!!!

you bought an xbox just for 1 game? 0.o....lol, Jade Empire is a good game, I wouldn't say the best imo, with some plot twists that I didn't see coming. I thought I could predict the whole thing because it was similar to KOTOR at some points but I was wrong >_<. Enjoy your new xbox
edit: Just saw you audio opinion, and I know what you mean. The music seems to end and not play a new track for a long while. Also, the main character doesn't talk too much really during battle.

i also found another problem with it unfortanetly. its really short. it only took me 24 hours to beat it. i heard that with all the side quest it could last up to 40 hours but i did all the side quest i could find. maybe i missed a few. how long did it take the rest of u all to beat it?

Hmm...short games can still be fun...look at uh...mario3....11 minutes...and I can beat it....and it is a great game, lol
