PSO=Worse than DRUGS

Well when the day comes that pso servers go down....i will do what ever i can to set up a private server...games just too much fun/addictive (ever notice you start to ich if u want to play it)

The game wont die unless the next game is anything similar to ep III, and think this forum has 1000+ members, and most of us still play it, so it won't be dieing anytime soon

I think that the fact this game is so complex makes it a lot more interesting too.

Just look at the first 2 screens of a new character file. First you get to pick between 3 groups of characters, then of 4 specific ones, each of diffent genders and races. Then from there you get to pick the size, costume, hair, face, skin color, name (it's a little diffent for androids though). Just by picking your character and name you have decided what weapons you can get, what mags you can raise, what stats you will have, what items you can use,.....

Those first 2 screens that we played,.... back when we were newbies, they were the 2 most important parts of the whole game,..... and we had no clue what was going on. Luckily, that's what 2nd, 3rd and even more characters are for.

Agreed, i can remember :'(

Picked the hair that all FOmars have today (headband one)
made it brown hair
picked the costume that is like fire, red and yellow
Made it a midget and made so hs dress dragged along floor

Now its white costume, red platte hair, just so it looks different from others

Fuck, I love pso and the depth into the character creation

A.S, to save you getting a router, I recommend you get PSO: Blue Burst when it is released. As it is a pc game, it connects online easily, and it seems like it will be free to download, with only the monthly fee.

As for the addictive nature of PSO, I say it's mostly down to the rewarding levelling up system. Each level seems so near yet so far, it's very well balanced, as well as the good drop ratios. For me personally though, it is the outstanding design that makes me want to return again and again, without tiring. It's such an incredible world, I really find I can get immersed in it. It feels like some amazing futurstic Japanese cartoon... or maybe that's just me! It's hard to put my finger on quite what it is I like so much about it any more, but it really is something special!

You consider PSO to have "outstanding design"? Ihope you don't mean graphics... (with Seabed and maybe CCA to be exceptions)

I play it to commute with other people, e.g, my gym locker hall has three people who have the game. I also play the game offline as a substitute for going online, I never taken advantage of DC online being as ignorant I was of it's...grace(?). Now I play the game with the thought that one day I will be online, knowing and remembering how addictive that was. Eh, that's what PSO BB is for, PSO ep I II was just for offline glory.

Ult Forest1, Ult Caves2, and Gal Dal Val Island (all of it) are all very nice looking places, A.S. The look of some of the monsters and stuff could use some work however....

In regard to this PSO: BB; it's going to be downloadable for free (doesn't sound very much like ST)? But you'll need to start new files? And there's still a monthly fee?

Guys I know what you mean. I used to(soon to change) play this game everynight until school started the next morning. It was so much freaking fun!! Really addictive!!
