Im really confused.....wats the difference between blue burst and universe.....is there 1?????

PSO:BB isa PC only version, i think it is epIV

PS: Universe is a console PS that will be released supposedly for the PS2

Hehe, you have questions? Allow me to deliver some answers:

Phantasy Star Online: Blue Burst is a new version of Episodes I & II, and only available on the PC. It includes many new features over the older PC version of PSO and the console versions of PSO such as server-side saving (To reduce cheating and hacking within the game), Team Games, New Quests, and allows for Expansion Packs to be brought out such as Episode IV. Phantasy Star Universe is a continuation from the old SEGA Megadrive Phantasy Star series of games. This is basically a different adventure then that of Phantasy Star Online games. This is NOT PSO, Episode V, or a part of the PSO series, this is a completely different series, continuing the story from the SEGA Megadrive games. Just wanted to make that clear

In Phantasy Star Universe, the game is centered around the offline game and takes place in a similiar environment to those of the old PS games where you basically explore, fight, discover, etc. much like a true RPG game, different to PSO's RPG play where you dont unlock levels, you instead discover more of it! In the online game, you basically expand the offline game a lot more, being able to play with friends aswell. For more information, click here.

The old PS games were for Genesis right?...I would also like to thank your for clearing up PSU...I thought it was a continuation of the PSO games. Also, I seen somewhere that PSU will be on the GC and not PS2.

Nope, Universe will be exclusive to PlayStation2 and PC as far as we know at the moment, set for release February next year over here.

I wonder how will Blue Burst will take off to be honest, it could be quite popular, I reckon, if Sega publicised it a little (actually having it on their website now is a good start)!

On the subject of the old PS games, you can also get a Phantasy Star Collection on GBA, which is just the first 3 games on one cartridge. They are also releasing slightly updated versions of the games on Playstation 2 in Japan, but it is doubtful they will make it over here. A fully upgraded single Phantasy Star game, that ties all the stories from the original to Universe, and including some aspects of PSO, in 3D, would be very cool!...But it appears to be unlikely!
