So, am I right in thinking this 'new level' which was supposedly going to be added in Japan last autumn was scrapped, and is actually Episode 4?

This is the area Episode IV is staged in!

The Stern Lux Plateau is the name for the area created by the meteorite impact, in which you explore and adventure in different stages, such as the above ground, to the underground desert (Alike the Forest, Caves, Mines, & Ruins in Episode I).

But the Stern Lux Plateau is just the name for the overall area Episode IV takes place in (I.e. The wilds, crater, and desert are parts within the Stern Lux Plateau).

No its not. There hasn't even been any official name for the area as far as I know from playing the JPN version.

Thats the name is was designated during its development, and to my knowledge, press release. I really wouldnt have thought they'd have changed the name seconds before releasing it :S
