PSO did start of with a windows version many moons ago, however it became outdated as newer versions of PSO started appearing on the next gen consoles. So in a way i guess you can call Blue Burst a re-release of Windows PSO, just with much better graphics, more quests, features, and the ability to add on expansion packs!

And what's with this BETA testing, is it the actual game? if not I am getting hyped up over nothing.

The game will definately be a downloadable game. Whether it will or will not be sold has yet to be determined by SEGA.

As for the BETA testing, it is the actual game, just not the complete game. It will have almost all features, just limited in quests and stages most likely.

Do you know if you play Beta, that you have the same levelled character to play in the final version?

Its not a question that has been answered by Sonic Team yet unfortunately. However, i would have thought that your game save will be able to transfer onto the final version of the game when its released, as all game saves will be stored on the same server, and all game ID's will stay the same.

I'd say i'm about 80% sure that your character information will be transferable (Lee-yoshi word!) to the final version of the game when it is released.

They let you keep your character from Beta in the Japanese and Chinese PSOBB, so why would this be different? (As long as you still use the same account, obviously).

Yes, the graphics are the same but in much higher resolution.
