Wow, another Yoshi game in the space of a fortnight? Go Dino!
Anyways, i was just wondering if anyone was planning on getting this game? (Comes out tommorrow)
Its a great game IMO, although its quite confusing at first when you get to the main menu and find theres no story game :S
However, Marathon mode is very addictive, and yet VERY annoying, how can anyone get over 3000m?! If you can, i hate you

Nope, haven't gotten 3000 yet. My furthest is 2450 and by then the whole screen is filled with those prickly things. In addition there's hardly any ground to work with. It's a fun game but I wish there was a story mode. Innovative and addictive with a touch of frustration, mix it together with Yoshi and you have yourself a fun DS game.

I'll be getting this tomorrow. I look forward to it, seems really cool (and will hold me out till Blue Burst!

). I will try hard to get to 3000m, hehe.
Hey, I can still..

Seriously, good luck Shoe! I got fairly far until a point where there was no ground. Its so hard to keep him in the air while dodging/killing enemies at the sametime!!! ITS IMPOSSIBLE!
How long have you had yours for Kisanzi?

I got my copy back in March when it was released in the US. I can only play it for about an hour before getting annoyed by the fact that Yoshi is so fragile that he dies in one hit and renders my 10 minutes of effort meaningless. But anyway, I'm still working at it and maybe someday I'll cap the 3000m mark if I can muster the patience and zen-like stylus precision.

Wow, I think it's great! The controls are such a cool idea. With any other system it would be so hard, but with touch and blow (erm.. yeah) it just seems to make sense, and even though it's very difficult at first, it feels fantastic when you get into it. I came very close yesterday too, I got around 2880m! If Yoshi didn't fail in one hit, Kisanzi, that would take out the tough high scoring challenge. They are already being pretty generous by letting you start from the Yoshi section

Hehehe.. I just got 3724m in marathon mode
Oh well.. guess I better do some hwk!
(P.S. Kisanzi, how can you have beaten all the preset records, as you said in the PSP vs DS thread, without having got past 3000m? Unless the presets are easier in the US version.)

When i get a DS that will probably be third on my to get list. (After Wario Ware and SM64DS)
Anyone caught smoking at Layer Road will be buried in the
centre circle by the forking groundsman, with only their head
showing, and left there during the second half.
Previous threats of electrocution, being made to listen to Will
Young and being hung from the floodlights have
failed to discourage all the smokers.
If Cardiff players had to stand and pay respects to an English national anthem, would they? I don't think so.
But Arsenal players manage to do it.
