I would like to have an open discussion here, however, I do not want to see any flaming or anything of that sort. A calm discussion of opinions is what I want to see, there are clearly vast differences in opinions here and Id like to hear both sides fairly. If anybody so much as bad mouths anyone, I'll personally request this to be locked, this is not meant to be a detrimental thread, but it is important to me that it doesn't get locked without good reason.

About what, exactly? Those in charge? Discussion about that, at what level and to what extent do you wish to discuss? If, and that's a big 'if', this thread was designed because you disapprove of the staff, it will be closed.

no one wishes to bad mouth the staff on an open forum if at all double edge please calm down i think some of todays events have put people on defense regaurding the posts of certain members. Theres a large difference between flaming and constructive criticism at the end of the day its all a matter of perspective and thats what we are trying to gain multiple perspectives.

Multiple perspectives are fine, no problem. The creation of such a thread could have many motives, including disapproval of the leadership, you see? Now, enough of that. Do you have a question?

I'd say your post was inappropriate at best, it is the members right to post their opinions of the staff in a calm, sensible manner without fear of being banned, as they are members just as you. Just because you can edit and close and lock and delete threads gives you no more right to be here than anyother member here, remember that you were once a memeber. Being a part of a staff is a privilage and a responsiblity not a gift to be held over others. You should focus on using the abilities you hold to help the other members when somethings get out of hand, not cut the legs out from people before you think they might have something to say that would be negative about others...

EDIT: That was in no way targeting Double Edge or the other moderators, it was ment as a general statement to be taken with a grain of salt and thought.

im just saying that we are all a little on edge (( no pun intended )) you seem to be only mod replying at the moment and across various threads i just hope youre not overexerting yourself. Like lionheart said if there is any flaming he will request the thread to be closed and locked we just want to see how others may feel about the current staff at hand if there is anything that someone might feel is to harsh to say outloud they can pm one of us. However i will start with a small gripe i have that ive been noticing. Since when is it illegal to make posts that arent wholly fact or go with the mods opinions before this new regime i never saw a posted actually editted to say something different unless it was sexually offensive or vulgar. Recently its happened to me in a thread when i spoke out about it my posts were editted yet strangely enough all the rude and smart a**ed comments the mod made remained.

I see you find it difficult to fully read what I say . I made it clear, I just want to hear the opinions of the current members, if I were trying to give the staff a bad namedont you think I wouldn't have been so polite and calm about it?

Please, please, guys, I have no problem with this thread. Why is everyone so damn 'against me' today? I was simply stating that threads created for the sole purpose of defying the staff will not be tolerated. I was, and I stress, in no way implying that this particular thread was created for such a reason; I was making a general statement, as did Gotien above.

With regards to your comment, Gotien, I wholeheartedly agree. Being a moderator and/or staff member is not about having so-called 'power' over other members. It is about helping them, guiding them and keeping the site in check. Believe me, I know.

Now, without firther delay, let's swing over to the topic at hand...

wait wait wait gotien lionheart lets back off for a while i dont like how this looks.... So far double edge is the only one talking to us hes at least making an attempt while it seems most of the other staff aside from those who are always neutral have abandoned him this isnt fair anymore. Double edge out of all the new staff in my opinion you and Kisanzi had the most promise and potential i even said i hoped you wouldnt lose your touch with the common poster in my goodbye thread stop and look you are defending yourself and your bretheren in the higher ups but who is watching YOUR back ? We arent bad people we are merely trying to make things right

IF you make a thread saying 'Sol sucks the big nuts' then you will probably get a severe warning, and probable banning. But if you make one saying 'I have issues concerning the new staff' then go on to flame them it will get locked. Remember the Site rules say 'The mods are god to you' meaning you bow in servitude. While not to be taken to this extreme it is in there to prevent such occurences of uprising as we seem to have had recently......(not about these new threads today, this was a while back) But the banning of DM may is a sensitive issue. But if we allow him back in, and then someone else flames Decs or Sol, then we ban them......the good ol' 'What about him, he did it and didn't get in trouble' will come up. Then what happens? Total anarchy break out..........
