im saying at this point out of all the mods who have tossed their hat into the ring of fire i respect double edge the most. Hes receptive to what we have to say and once he realized that we werent personally trying to attack him or his job he eased up on the defense.

I took yesterday off and find a 10 page thread waiting when I come back. Sheesh...it took 45 minutes to read all the posts in this debate, but I have formulated a few thoughts about the issues discussed.

After the first couple pages of the thread I felt saddened that people are having such conflicts with the mods here. With all my time as a member here I've never had any trouble with these sorts of things, but I've witnessed them happen to others. I truly sympathize with the members speaking out here as they have had weathered the good and the bad of this site far longer than I. But regardless of the problems that have arisen with authority here, I still am a firm believer in the neccessity of mods. But mods as humans, not gods of the site. I realize this point has been beaten to death, but everyone here is human like anyone else and deserves to be treated as such. In no way should someone's actions or opinions take precedence over another's. Remember and respect this fact and I'm sure that we can work through the problems that have arisen and come to a fair agreement for everyone.

And Kashima, please work out you're issues with Kefka in a friendly manner. I know that you have alot of other things to straighten out and I don't want you taking on another burden because of anyone on this site. I realize Kefka can come off as abrasive but that's just his personality, everyone has their differences. I know he truly means to help everyone with his knowledge and experience and is truly dedicated to furthering the growth of the site. (Sorry if you think I'm out of line saying this Kefka, but it's my honest thoughts)

Kisanzi this is what i have to say to you ....... im happy to see youve finally decided to add your two cents ive missed talking with you on issues like this as of late where have you been ? In terms of kefka i want to settle this in a friendly manner ive tried behind the scenes but that hasnt worked much either hence this thread. For now i will remain quiet because the one mod im trying to speak to has the least presence in this thread and me going back and forth with double edge and serpant isnt really accomplishing anything. Now in response to serpant this is all I have to say for the moment but im not the one who made this thread and its barely a day old so im hoping you are not asking that question solely to close it

i know this isnt my place but curiosity is killing me... Either youre around my age range ((18 )) and very wise beyond your years or you are a much older user. You dont have to answer and im sorry if i offend but are you wise by experience or by other means ? I think Kefka is our oldest member here who posts actively and hes twenty four i believe do you beat him out for eldest member?

Hehe, wise words, my friend. Why don't we all heed rebeldoughnut's words, and put into my own, 'CHILLAX'! We're taking this whole dilemma to a whole new level, one which does not need to be reached. The best concensus to be reached is likely to agree to disagree. Some of our fellow members, such as Lionheart, Gotien, Kashima, Anti Hacker ..., among others, may not be 100% pleased with the inner workings of the Ragol.co.uk Forums. However, what we must agree to do is to just work with each other. I have a hunch that the running of the forums will not change as a result of these "complaints", so to speak. Why do I think this? The answer is simple: Because the system works.

Any type of system of, government for instance, cannot satisfy all of its respective citizens. Take the U.S.A. for instance, some vote democratic, some republican. My home country, Canada; Liberal, Conservative among others. No one system of government will be able to create total contentment within the nation. The same goes with these forums and its site. The administrators and moderators run these forums in the best way possible. They base their decisions not only on rules and guidelines, but by morals (especially when it comes to wrongdoings by other members or dealing with tough situations).

So, to make a long story short - don't tell it. But, I want to. The point I am attempting to present here, is that the staff and administration here can change. However, we will only ever change for the better and common good of the community. Contrary to popular belief at times by some members, the population here must understand that we are striving to bring you the best site we can. And hell, I think we're doing a standup job.

I fully understand your concerns regarding the forums to an extent. However, as mentioned already, we do not make decisions based on power. We make them based on what we think is right to do at the time. Everyone makes mistakes, last time I checked anyway. Rest assured that no staff member (here, anyways), is so-called "power hungry". That's total lunacy. Please, please understand this. I cannot repeat myself much more: Our system of moderation will remain, guaranteed. The moderators exist to help, not to jeopardize your enjoyment of the community.

Double Edge if I didnt want to co-operate with you I'd tell you to go fook yourself ( nice spelling huh ) and start complaining, but Im not I just like to exchance ideals with others on a certain level. Kashima may be one of my best friends but I still constantly exchance opinions in the same way. Just to check and double check perspectives and views on the subject; that way when someone else later on asks about a certain situation, we are already prepared.
