I don't have a problem with the staff since I don't know them very well anyways . It would be nice to see some of them a little more active like some of the others.

Site maintenance is part of it, but just like you, we have lives as well. Sol, for instance, has been lacking activeness because of his studies. :happy: I try to be there for any issues that may arise whenever I can on the forums and site.

the only reason i could see to have a problem with mods...
would be if the contorted the view of my post with their editing...

I saw the event with Kashima and Kefka in "Rate my chars" and Kefka was certainly being not nice (refrained from flamming). Of course now if you look at the thread, all of Kashima's posts that involve him have all been edited.... curiously enough, by Kekfa! He told Kashima to change his sig size and he edited the colors of Kashima's first post without warning/asking (it was kind of hard to read, but he still should have asked). Then when Kashima told Kefka that he should have just PMed him about the sig, Kefka edited that post so it said something like "Anything you have to say to me you can do over PM. - Kefka" (that was re-edited by Kefka later to near the original content) Yet Kefka did not edit his post where he demanded that Kashima reduce the sig.

Then there are the numerous threads that Kefka locked in Item Findings, many of which were spammish because they could have just been single posts in SFTI, but I remeber he locked Lostthought's thread about finding a Milla withing days of finding a Guld accidentally! That is certainly deserving of another thread! "Use the sticky" *translates* "I'm jealous that I had to hunt for my Guld Milla and you got it and you don't even have a Ranger to use it yet!" You know it's true!

Really it's the "Item Findings" section, where you post about items that you found! (or want to find) Sorry, but I just really think Kefka is good at PSO, but not at Mod-ing. Not to offend him, I'm just tellin' it like it is.

Hello. You mentioned that not every staff member was here, but this has all been happening whilst I was asleep!

I know the general concensus with me is that I'm too strict, but I hope you'd consider me as fair.

As you can see, this thread has not been closed, which I'm sure you'll understand as fair. Moderators are there to... moderate! I've only ever closed threads which are finished, or veered off topic too many times (implying that people havve nothing more to say on the actual topic), duplicate threads, or pointless spam.

I'd never edit someone else's post to make it seem that they've said something that they haven't, only to remove offense, adverts, cheats/cheat codes, and flaming etc. etc.

Any questions?

the one problem I seem to have right now is the fact that the mods/admins are keeping way too many things secretive.....that whole situation with DM for example.....from what I get out of the whole thing...is that there really isn't any strong reason behind keeping him banned........he did disobey the rules and use his friends account to post here......but it was his decision in the first place to become banned......he was having some difficulties with some of the members here and asked Sol to ban him.......and yet, for some reason that is completely unknown to me...his request to have his account reopened was denied by Sol and other moderators.............not to mention the whole fact that Sol isn't allowing any kind of thread about DM to exist here.......I'm not saying that the mods are doing a crap ass job here....in fact quite a few of them are actually doing a great job (at least to my knowledge)...........to state another fact...if I were to start a topic or two about DM there is a GOOD chance that not only would the thread be deleted but I'd also be sent a message from some mod or admin warning me about the "new" rule.........

just one more thing before I get some sleep......exercising power is an ideal thing when you want to create stability.......unfortunately....when you exercise your power by banning/editing someone's post just because you can.......could do far more harm than good.......

and now I'm going to bed.......there shall be no more of my posts in this thread unless I feel it is necessary.....(which it shouldn't be)

Edit: Serpent......leaving this thread open is more or less a way to try and keep anarchy from breaking out.......if a mod were to close this thread and disallow any members from posting their perpectives of some moderators than it would only show that staff are far too strict to be of any help to this site.......I'm not using you as an example if you happen to think that......in fact....as i have said before...the staff here can be great people sometimes.......
