Darkside this isn't gonna be like at PSOW when you gave a countdown to ST server shut down and it never happened is it? I hope this happens soon so I can Play online with a decent character again, I'm all for it.

i'm against this completely, those who play online obviously do not mind paying or the chance encounter with a hacker, and there isn't realy a big reason for you to destroy their gaming experience. sure, when the ST servers eventually go down WHEN THEY DECIDE then feel free to get other servers up and running, that would be helping...

i was looking forward to going back online soon but now i'm not so sure

lol....Place a proxy user in every block of every ship, while packet is running...or AR code...(got one of those too), everyone in the block will disconnect and everyone that logs onto the block will disconnect, kinda like lockdown. But thanks for the good luck Phantom! Though I don't belive in luck...eh...yea.

wouldnt you also need people in every lobby? not everyone goes to lobby 1, sounds like a lot of work to me, and plus people will eventually figure it out and go to EU or JP ships, it'd be alot easier to just wait for the servers to be shut down

A block=a server. No need for 1 person in every lobby, just 1 per block. It may seem like a lot of work but no, I know alot of people who can run a proxy and/or use an Action Replay, lol...

Poofly he is not going to destroy a gaming experience he is going to save the gaming experience. The experience isnt much at the moment, but it will be 10x better once these changes are implemented. Change is not the same as destruction, I cannot emphasise that enough.

I do believe I'm for this: Though I have not experienced ST Servers (No online...), they seem to be virulently deadly to many players, so a safe server for when I get online would be awesome.

So, essentially, you're going to make it look as though the servers have finally failed to maintain a connection, to look like Sonic Team have finally given up, which will make everyone stop playing, which will make Sonic Team decide to devote their full time and attention to PSU and BB and trash the official servers as a waste of money, thus allowing you to open the private servers? Interesting idea, to say the least.

How long would it take to set up the free servers after Sonic Team shut them down?
