Probably not seeing that they've already closed the stories on the original show, the games and the manga. But do you really need more? If you include the games theres four seasons of .hack out there to watch already. .hack//sign, .hack//liminality, .hack//twilight and the games.

I only wish they put more into the games. Like make it so that you could create your own character or something like that.

Well, it looks like I have to take back what I said earlier. While browsing through the E3 PS2 lineup I stumbled across the announcement of yet another .hack game. Apparently .hack//G.U. is under production right now and is set to release sometime in 2006.

Ive been on hack 1 & 2 but then the other two in the series werent released for months so I sold them and never finished the series.

Balmung was my favourite character, ive heard he isnt in the anime that often.

Well if you still have the data then you can still continue the story. Both Outbreak and Quarantine are out now at a lower price than before. Smile But they will be hard to find I just found Outbreak after looking for 7 months.

Let's not forget the new anime .hack//roots, which ties into the .hack//GU games alot better than .hack//sign did to the games.

.hack//gu and roots take place in The World R:2, a brand new world after a fire destroyed the original CCCorp building, as well as the servers, killing a few staff members as well(unknown thus far, but Balmung mighy be included in there, he was a CC corp executive, might apply for Orca and Kite as well.)

Regardless, GU and roots take place 10 years after the first installation of games, and IMO, Roots is SO much better than sign.
Watch the E3 Trailer for GU, you won't be disappointed.
