Proxy server & port.HELP!
#1
I'm setting up my gamecube for online. Serpent7 gave me a lil' help, but now I'm stuck on the network setup screen that says 'Browser settings' and I need the Proxy server adress & and Proxy port number............How do I locate these on my computer......I have my IP configuration screen up, but it doesn't have these, so I need to know where to find them on my comp......The faster the help, the most appreciative I will be........

you know, it would be helping us to help you if you'd say how youre connecting your cube to the internet.

if youre going directly via LAN cable into a router / switch, just try PPPoE and automatic settings when your router got set up already. otherwise put your ISP account data into the file when you connect to a DSL modem.

I'm using a LAN cable from my Cube directly into the back of my modem......if that helps at all............\

Edit: I just skipped it, and I already had both DNS server options and default gateway and all that.......now to see if it works.........

You can just skip it if you're not using a proxy. (Which is a kind of internet access utility. Kind of.)

Okay, found out I don't need the proxy, but this game hates me.......it's saying my credit card has been rejected. But I don't think it's something on my end, as two other people on the Sega boards are having the SAME exact problem. Only problem now is I can't get into the Segaboards, or my HL account, as I keep getting a compiled page error or something. and restarting my computer isn't helping............

A compiler error is generally to do with the server, not your comp, try again later.

As for the cred card being rejected, ring SEGA, I guess.

It's a Visa debit card, but it's alright apparently my mom let the money run out or something, so when I get a job (soon hopefully) I can get a debit card and I'll start paying for it........
