Hi, i've been looking around and thinking hard on this i might get a mod chip for my xbox.{mostly because my xbox broke and this is the cheapest ways to fix it} I have heard roumors about ps2 and gc mod chips. {since i dont have those systems any more i didnt look in to it} Well what im asking is does any one have a mod chip? If so is it good? From what I've heard its great but I havent even played on a "chiped" system, but from what I've been reading mod chips have some kick butt features! Like you can surf the web,have cool mods,and really just push the xbox{or other systems} to its true performance. I'm thinking about getting one on wensday, so what you type might change my decision. So type on young grasshopper.{dont worry im not going to play pso any more so im not going to be this big hacker} I just want ot really fix my xbox for like 60 bucks instead of haveing to buy a brand new one for 200+ i dont care about the other feats. but I think they are pretty cool though!

You can comment on the modding of systems, just don't make posts on how to do it, if you see what i mean.
Making it is illegal, talking about it isn't. ^_^

with this confirm i will tell you that I have one.
You can play dvd's with it as well as putting games on your hard disk.
I'm happy I got mine and if I where you I would choose this solution
as for surfing the web: not with my chip

I believe surfing the web on an xbox. would need one of the xbox linux os installed.

well ive seen apps also you would transefer over via ftp i think that would be cool but to really get good use out of it i would have to buy a gamesters mouse and keyboard adapter but thats all good

i have seen them and im sadly to say i wont be getting a new console untill they release the next-gen ones so untill then im going to get a psp

Ummm its not a new console.. its just a new front panel for the front of your xbox
