alright i tried dupin stuff to find out what would happen and now what i tried was all
:
makin copies of weaps
makin 99x pds
makin 99x trimates
and did 5 runs and i didnt get 1 rare so dunno but i think duping also does this if anyone knows for sure and has duped a weapon and still got rares plz tell me btw i dropped all dupes after runs
just pissed me off lol

Oh well that does alot.
Anyway, dupes don't affect anything, it was your 99X Trimate that caused you to find 0 rares. Just clearing that up for you.

Listen up everyone:
As Vash once explained it is impossible for dupes to affect drop rates. Since they are exactly the same as a legit weapon (because they are a complete duplication) they cannot and will not affect drop rates. The game will not tell them apart from the original. Hacks can alter from legit weapons, for instance the hacked SJS cannot be unsealed (no kill counter). If you duplicate a hack, because it is exactly the same as a hack it may affect drop rates.
REMEMBER: A dupe is not considered a seperate kind of item to the game, the two drop rate possible affecting type of items are hacked and un-hacked items. A dupe may fit into either of those categories. If a hacker does a good enough job then a hack may not affect drop rates at all, it hasnt even been proven that definate hacks (e.g. over stat mags) do affect drop rates.
The 99 tris would have been recognised by the game since it is impossible to stack that many, however if you lowered the items to only 10 tris but still had them as dupes there would be no effect on the game. From this we can see that it is not the fact the items are dupes thats makes the game possibly respond differently.

Yeah, but Serge is saying that he didn't hack mags or anything like that, so unless he stacked stuff and hasn't told us yet, he ought to have found a few rares.

Just because he didn't hack a MAG doesn't mean he wasn't given a hacked MAG from someone.

alright!!!!! after RE-DOING! THE DATA TESTS!!!!!!!
i had duped

2 pd's then dropped after done
and 10x all items for healin and stuff
after doing ANOTHER!!!!!! 5 ruin runs...god i can tell i never duped b4 this lol i found a few rares 4 to be in fact and had all of them already so in fact if u dupe u still get rares but if u dupe items that have a max of 10x and make it 99x u will lose ur drop rate and get nothing hacked mags the same there thats my thingy done =-)
