My disc is messing up!

Well today and yesterday I put pso in my xbox and it says there is no disc try putting in a cd dvd or xbox game. well yesterday i used achohal{sorry i caint spell}and it worked. the real question is if my disc does break or whatever, can i go buy a new one and still use my chars?

No, you can't. The characters are burned onto your disc as well as stored on your memory card every time you save even though it seems utterly pointless causes data duplicaqtion and if the two character fields don't match then your characters burn in the fiery pits of hell forever! ahem... The disc does not affect your characters in any way shape or form.
