Nearly corrupted...

Yeah, it was a close call... I was almost corrupted by someone named JOKER, someone who used to be a friend of mine. I just need help on what to do, cuz everytime I go somewhere, JOKER's right there, counting down from 3,2,1, then eventually 0... I reseted the game when JOKER reached 0, cuz I wasn't gonna risk my first memory card of characters. But SonicTeam won't obviously do anything about it.
So I need someone who's smart and can help me on what to do, cuz I can't find this person's card anywhere in my GC list(had to go offline to check) so this person must've used a different character when I got their GC, so I can't really block them right now. If anyone here knows JOKER, I need the names of their other characters to see that I do have it. And I also need to know if there's a code to unblock yourself from the person that did block you...
I'm really serious, I do not want to lose my 4 characters, then have JOKER poping up continuously if I start a new character. And worse part is that my other characters are in danger too.
Maybe I'm just paranoid about JOKER corrupting me, but I know that he/she threatened to corrupt my character. So in the first place, I need to know if JOKER has an AR or something that can corrupt my character. But I really do need help on this badly, or else its over for me and my days of PSO online...

METROID, MATRIX, and Luna are three other names I've found when searching his GC. I know him... he's the brother of WAR MONSTER who is as legit as they come (but he also uses his brother's account sometimes so beware). I talked to him the day before he got his AR, when he mentioned getting one. He said he was starting a group called "the crew," and one day I noticed him in a lobby asking just about everyone who came into said lobby to join this group.

As for my relations with him, well... somebody once told him that I was "saying sh*t about him," which I was not. He jumped to that conclusion and threatened to corrupt me (as well as Pink, for no apparant reason other than she followed me when I escaped into a locked game). I managed to get him to believe me... I had nothing against him and the way he played, I just wish he wouldn't corrupt people. Since then I haven't seen him, really... he kept asking for my GC (he lost it once) but I explained why I didn't want to give it to him and he seemed to understand at the time.

If he has your guildcard, he can find out where you are at any time, so your only real option is to play in locked games and wait until he decides you aren't worth the trouble. Has he mailed you? That would prove he has your card (or, you're an idiot and have left choice search on, in which case there's no wonder he's shadowing you). I would also suggest finding out why he wants to corrupt you if you can... usually he at least has a reason.

Has he FSODed you yet? I know he has an AR, but as far as I know he doesn't have a proxy or anything... so my suspicion is he's just a script kiddie talking out his ass about the whole corruption bit. I suggest you test the theory by starting a lv1 char on a blank card, letting him do his 3-2-1 thing and seeing if you get corrupted or just FSODed. Then you'll know, at least. This might be a good time to ask him why he wants to corrupt you, since you wouldn't lose anything if he did.

But yeah, we have each others cards... I just need another memory card, maybe from my friend who started our online account. Plus I need to know when he's usually on so that I know when to get on. But you really have helped me, and thank you very much for the help...

Go to offline and block his card. then proceed to connect online

My guess is in the lobby all he can do is FSOD you (not corrupt you, unless he has a proxy and can lobby reload and the odds of that are extremely low).

So prepare for FSOD by carrying onl what you can equip so you dont lose anything, if its only in the lobby you will only lose meseta. Then just go online and let him FSOD away until he gets so bored because of the lack of reaction he gets from you that he will go find somone else.

I'm starting to feel stupid now... lol. This does help though, except for trying to block him while offline(can't do it... lol, SonicTeam makes some HORRIBLE decisions). Thanks.

I think he might be able to sage, but unless he FSODXs you youre ok, if he finds you in lobbies just let him try. I'd like to make this clear now 'There is NO corruption code'. The only way someone could possibly corrupt you would be to freeze you while you were saving, and PSO doesnt save in the lobby (unless they use proxy reload lobby in which case a banana in a monkeys grasp stands less chance of being eaten alive then you do!)

My advice to you is make your own games and lock them, or he will swoop down into your game and FSOD you causing you to lose any un-equipeed/un banked items/meseta.

In the lobby FSOD only destroys meseta, so dont worry about that.

You could always buy an AR and get all the anti-FSOD codes, lobby invisibilty codes, etc. Then if he still screws with ya' then you get some FSOD codes of your own and give him a taste of his own medicine! See how the punk likes that! (The second idea is not suggested though, becuase that could just cause more disagreements between you.)

Fighting fire with fire is never suggested. The best way is to ignore him until he gets sick of trying to attack you.
