ya they help.
A freeze trap can and will freeze alot of monsters if you remember to keep them near it
A confuse trap makes them attak each other and if you can get a belra or a bringer confused you will induce pain on the others.
DAmage traps arewe the least useful but can be used to do a little bit of damge to the monster.

Yes, traps are EXTREMELY useful! The confuse traps are funny 'cos everyone starts killing each other instead of you, and the freeze trap will definitely freeze whoever's in range. Tongue

Damage traps are a teency bit boring, but effective i suppose...

im a Ramar so i cant use em but who needs traps wen u can use Frozen Shooter.

Where are the launchers? Oh well, they don't beat shots anyway.

I like shots myself, just attach a God/Battle to your ranger, get a powerful shot and you can take out most groups of enemies before they even get close to you. I would've voted for mechs, but they leave you too vulnerable when there's more than 2 monsters in the room.

nothiing beats Spread needle, the ultimate group killer!!!a rangers best friend sometime, and that Push back is amazing!

I think my favorite gun would have to be the Handgun.

Red Handgun specifically, because any class can use it, it's reliable against multiple enemies, and it's powerful.

I would have to go with a good shot for a Ranger though, or a rifle.

Mechguns are good, but only for a single enemy.
You have more then 1 enemy, and all you have is a mechgun. Your screwed.

Launchers are really powerful, but they shoot too slowly.

but a handgun can only hit one enemy at a time so how does that make it good against groups of enemys??

Because of the hard attack.

That's how I survive in ULT Ruins at level 92, I improvise.
Such as if you use Rafoie, all the enemies are 'shocked' (Not that status condition, but they'll stop moving for about 2 seconds and make a noise, then they'll continue chase.)

Now, if you ever try using a Handgun against a Bartle, whenever you do a hard attack it gets 'shocked'. So bu doing this, you can have a Bartle really close to you, but you can keep shooting it and it can't hit you. The other enemies will usually go behind the 1 enemy your fighting.

It's pretty complicated, but since enemies can't move through each other, the 2 Bartles behind the Bartle your fighting can't hit you.
