Well, I'm the youngest in my family so my mom had a harder time letting go of me than of my 2 older brothers.

hehehe, I know the feeling. My mom asks me the same questions, so I just say "I'm more knowledgable about the internet than you and I can handle myself" or something along those lines, besides she talks to people online as well so it's fair ^_^. If my dad was still alive, things would probably be a lot more strict.

I started my online life (I guess it is a life) at about 12 years old (pretty old now compared to these 10 year olds running around the net now ). Anyways, I've talked to people from all over the world (even someone from Israel), to people of all ages; even people who are/were 40, 50 and even 60 once (although, he was kind of...strange, I'll leave it at that). A lot of those people thought I was way older than I actually was.

Infinite8, I'm sorry to hear about what has transpired. I hope you work through this barrier blocking your path and find a way to return things to the way your like them .

My parents didn't find out I was even a member here untill around May because I knew they'd probably be mad about it. By that time though, they were like "If you've been there seven months already, then it's got to be a decent enough place. Just don't give anyone our address."

seriously, by man, and thats tough luck. my mum can be a bit of a $"&^ about the internet, but most the time shes alright (because she doesnt know what im doing lol) and if she ever asks me stupid questions about ppl (i.e- when i visited sanga for the first time, she wa really worried) i normally reply with something along the lines of 'dont worry, they wont rape me/sell me as a slave/ etc.' and shes stopped saying it now... thankfully!

that really sucks, i came really close to doing the same thing to one of my freinds(i was talking to her twin) but she had given me an alias just in case lol. damn if that ever happens two me well my dads weird so he would drive me over to this persons front door and make me apologize and yeah i hope you get over this. if i might reccoment meditaton works great for me... when no one is around to yell at me for it XD
