Hunter Help needed

question for all you hunters out there:
yes, im not only a forums newbie, but im also a bit of a PSO newbie (highest char is level 40) and im looking for some help with a hunter im going to make.
I play offline co-op with 2 of my other friends, and seeing how we have just OK ideas for our 3 characters (RAcast Purplenum, HUcast Blueful, and FOnewm Pinkal) we are going to make some new characters for more drops, and to play a new class.
I'm going to be a hunter, after 40 levels of RAcast.
I want to be a class that gains ATP quickly, but I also want to be able to use Shifta and Deband for when im soloing by myself.
So, what im asking is, I really want to be a HUmar, but are the stat differences between it and a HUcast really big?
(i.e. is there a massive ATP difference? My friend has a spare DB's Saber he said I could have once I get the required ATP, and I'd like to use it as soon as I can, but will I have to wait a lot longer to use it if I'm a HUmar, as opposed to a HUcast?)
Also, if I want to use techs, should I just be a HUneweral?
I'm just asking as I don't know a lot about hunters, and any input you can give would be a tremendous help.

HUnewearl would be better, especially for soloing. Although a HUmar has more base ata, thanks to her spells the hunewearl overall does much more dmg.

p.s- if you ahve a gd mag, then you'll be able to use the dg's saber pretty much immediately.

ok, but in multi player would the HUneweral still be a good choice, or should I go HUmar or even HUcast?

for multiplayer, choose hucaseal as there is already a hucast. HUmar would be better in multi while your all under the same s/d, but if the FO is away then the HUney can take over as a FO which is useful.Go for the HUnewearl.

HUcast: AMAZING ATP. Most of any character. Pwns through normal-Vhard, has nothing but ATP. Must have really good ATP, eh?

HUmar: Good ATP, decent ATA, ok MST, pretty much an overall balanced character.

HUneweral (My suggestion): Great MST, amounts of mats are lowered because of it being a newman, has up to level 20 techs, apposed to 15, good ATP, and ok ATA.

Take it from a hunter.

Yup. Thats why I said that they pwn from normal-Vhard. They suck in ult unless online/multi due to support.

And its not just ATA. They only have ATP. And because they have so much ATP, it 'saps' from their other stats. In ult, they'll have too low DEF, HP, ATA, EVP, and they'll just suck. But of course, with shifta and deband level 30, resta, anti, and everything else a force can provide, they'll pwn. It all mainly depends on the player and partly the character. (Hell, it does depend on the character a lot! )

Mag stats are vital too as well as PB blast, with a chain, you can get level 81 shifta and deband.

I think I'm gonna go with the HUney, because if HUcast's are that dependant on Forces in Ult. then I'd be in trouble.
(My force friend isn't that good of a force, all he does is spam foie and grants,
he never casts Shifta or Deband, he says they are a waste of time :S )
