Also, the safest way to take out your memory card is when the Gamecube is off.

Take no chances. Smile

Big Grin otherwise its just

1) Transfer your char to the other MC

2) Quit game and turn off GC (Dont transfer your char back)

3) Switch the card witch you transfered the character FROM

4) Start GC again

Dudes, for the last time, it won't help! Memory cards get old and unstable, they are inherrantly unstable. Thats why so many people went with the box or the PS2 external hard-drive. Every time you take your memory card in, and out it gets damaged a little, there is nothing you can do to stop this. Its like your copy of PSO itself, it will get scratched as you play i, and it will die eventually. We live in a consumer society, just as your old consoles die new better technology is usually available to replace it with. Use some measures to protect your cards and the data on the until then, but after that it's going to the junkyard, sorry!

As the device gets damaged, the data on it will sooner or later be damaged, the safest thing to do is to always leave your mem card in the GC for as long as you can like your controllers, it lessens the strain on them and stops the internal framework from becoming so losened.

All these mystery cures like take out the card after the GC is off, that wont affect it! If your characters corrupted after one of them hit 50, I apologise but all it is is an un-happy convinience. Just dont take it out when your saving, or dont take it out at all and you will be fine until the next lump of hardware shifts its but onto the market.
