How did u start playing pso
#11
PSO seems to be really widespread. I mean, most online games have like, one forum on the developer's official site, but PSO has loads, no, TONS of sites and forums about it, so I guess that's why It's so popular.

I was a big fan of Phantasy Star II way back on the Sega Megadrive/Genesis (Depending on Country). Obviously it wasn't online then but a typical RPG like Final Fantasy and boy was it good... It had like 70 Floor dungeons and amazing storyline with memorable cast of characters. In fact if anyone goes back and plays the old Phanatasy Star games they will see lots of reference to PSO today. Phantasy Star 2 and 4 are highly recommended retro RPGs and if you are fan, check it out. Give 3 a miss though, it was weird and far too easy.

When I read in Edge or IGN that PSO on the Dreamcast was being developed I was over the moon and utterly overjoyed. However my first experience online was a bad one, as soon as I got on and joined a game I was lured to the Forest and PKed instantly losing my items and money. I was pissed!!! I almost threw the DC away and wanted to never play again. Then I met some nice legit people and it got great. Wish I could still get in touch with them but it was way too long ago. I think they should make a http://www.psoreunited.com webpage Smile hehehehe

Never got the original one... Started from 2 onwards and still one of the most memorable RPGs I have ever played.

I might get the GBA collection. Anyone got that? Worth getting?

Its called Phantasy Star Chronicles and has 1, 2 and 3 but missing 4.

Worth getting for 1 & 2 but 3 was lukewarm mediocre.

I checked on some websites like http://www.gameplay.com and it was there but still rather pricey at £27.00 Might be worth looking on ebay or using Kelkoo to find a cheaper one if you are interested in buying it.

I'll wait for it to drop to a very low price before I will buy it personally...
