It would be wise to edit some of your messages, because some statements you make are unreadable due to grammatical errors. Just a heads up to avoid flamming from those perfectionist. Anyway, like I said, it's all in the eye of the beholder. People find the control scheme just fine on the DS, so it isn't an issue for them. Yes, it's a little unorthadox, but it is doable. If you think the PSP is better, fine go play your PSP. Just don't go bombing the DS and vise versa to those people who think the DS is better than the PSP.

I'm not saying my personaly opinion. The FACT is there PSP is better the DS there is no company or magazine thats says DS is better. It dumb that you even arguing this. It's like trying to argue that the word THE is not spelt T-H-E.

Actually, then the 1337 people will disagree, saying it's spelt T-E-H, but that's beside the point.
The point is that you've gone completely beyond 'I think PSP is better because...' and now you're saying 'The PSP IS better because some people in a magazine say so!'. It's just pathetic. Sure, it has better graphics, but true gamers look past this and look at GAMEPLAY, which is pretty damn important for a GAME, don't you think? As for violence, a game does not have to have violence or adult-oriented stuff in it to be challenging or good. If you disagree then finsh Wind Waker, or pay off your final house in Animal Crossing. I know for a fact that a 7 year old kid struggles with Animal Crossing, so there goes your 'under 5' theory. Man, people like you annoy me so much...

Valero Wrote:Yoshi, those figures are for games sold. Pay attention to what you read. The reason DS has more games sold is because most of them are pixelated and don't involve either touch screen nor microphone. PSP games tend to be more involved, thus needing more programming time.
If they're so crap why does everyone keep buying them then eh?
And no, the bottom figures outlined there in my post are console sales

I'll agree on the point that the PSP is similar to what the GB was like when first released. I loved the idea of portable gaming, however I've not really used my GBA for that purpose in any great amount, maybe a plane journey is about all it was limited to. There is no real reason to take it out either as the chance you'll meet someone to play against is non-existant or the screen was really lame in most conditions out and about, causing you to constantly move position like you were having a fit.
The DS does seem to want to try and address those problems. We have a good display, we have the ability to send games so others can play regardless of them owning it. We also have NCL promising hot-spots so I can use my DS to play online against others all around the world. All this for free. To me this is a real reason to take out a DS wherever you go because you can mess about with it for a bit solo or join online games as you go. I hope this is done en mass and becomes truly ubiquitous.
As for the points aimed at me, no I wouldn't buy a PS2 that's portable. I have trouble enough trying to justify a purchase of a PS2 let alone one that's portable. I don't find any joy in trying to watching a movie on a screen as small as the PSP has. Whether it be a UMD I have to buy again or whether it be something I have forced onto a memory stick, I'm not happy. If I want to watch a movie, I'd like to enjoy it on a big screen with a good surround system.
The emulation that is currently ongoing is great, that's something I'm genuinely excited by but there is something more to a handheld than being able to play the same games I already own on other consoles.
I'll try to clarify exactly what my thoughts were in my original post. The PSP is doing something similar, keeping gaming the same. The DS is trying to move gaming forward in a few aspects which all relate. You have a "new" interface which doesn't seem as bewildering as a joypad with a bajillion buttons and pressure sensitivities which are rarely utilised. It may seem unorthodox in a gaming sense but using a stylus is more natural than trying to get your head around an analogue stick and pressure sensitive buttons (which seem to serve no real function, analogue triggers being an exception), and as such, it is turning more people into gaming.
As I said before, I know people who looked at Ridge Racer and put it down. Saw Spiderman 2 and put it down commenting it was nice. With the DS and Wario Ware, I've seen people fight to play and later go out and buy on the strength of that alone and then being enamoured by Project Rub et al.
We finally have a handheld that truly is different, one that introduces gaming to a lot more demographics than ever. The PSP looks nice and has nice games but the big shame is that it is probably going to overshadow the DS and all the possibilities the DS brings, due to attitudes about Nintendo that have been shown many a time on here.

How can millions people be wrong? More people bought a PSP over a DS so oviously PSP is better. Games for the PSP are getting higher rankings in game play then the DS. Most DS games you can beat under 3 hours. Where as games for PSP are 16 hours and more and it's easy to say PSP has m flaws but so do all first gen systems. Give PSP some time and it will crush DS. Once sony fixes all the problems with the PSP theres gonna be no contest.

There's one thing I agree with - it's that PSP will eventually outsell DS. Why? Not because it's better, but because people like you will buy it because they go completely on graphics and don't like the idea of new ideas for games. They want the same old thing again and again. Strange logic if you ask me, but it will probably happen, although, of course, I hope it doesn't.

You are just going by the opinions of other people, the kind of people I described above. You know what? I don't give a damn what those people think. Direct yourself to the console sales list please.

I'd really like to see you get every star on Mario 64 DS in 3 hours, or even beat Bowser in that time. I'd also like to see you get gold crowns with everyone in Wario ware, or complete hard mode on project rub in 3 hours. The list goes on, but that just wastes time, and I've given enough examples for you to be getting on with.

Same thing over and over again are you retarded or just realy dumb. How many freaken mario games are there and how many of thema are the same damn thing as the last one. How many zelda games are there and how many are the same damn thing and how many pokemon games are there how many of them are the same thing. Answer? pretty much all of them all those games are the same damn thing as the one that came before it. All they do is change the title and graphics and it's just the same game. Zelda: get master sword, beat ugly guy and save a princess. Pokemon: collect pokemon, raise Pokemon. Mario collect some item of no use and beat some dinosaur and save a princess. Nintendo beats there games to death but you still buy them and nintendo just luaghs at you becasue you already have that game and you just bought it 15 times over.

Ok fine if you wanna play that way. Is Osama Binladin right for blowing up the trade towers? Because he and his few men think it's right?
Halo is a series they actual are related where as none of the mario games have any thing to do with each other.
