PSU Pay To Play?

Hi, anyone know if PSU will be pay to play? If it is who will actually pay to play it? Sorry if I am just way behind the times here, but I havn't researched into PSU that much...

I'm basically 99% sure that it will be Pay to Play, and it will cost $8.95 US dollars a month to play. It seems to be some kind of tradition with Sonic Team and they better not jack up the price!

Yeah I just bloody hope PSU will have the same payment options for GC PSO or Im gona be screwed playing PSU as I cant play BB :'( until I some how find a way to pay my HL...*sigh* the gr8s of being British....

Yea, itll most likely be 'pay to play', but Sonic Team wont confirm anything until much nearer the games release. Itll probabily be like pink said, the same price as Gamecube and Blue Burst PSO Hunters Licenses cost (£5.99/$8.95/8.95 Euro's).

It sounds like it will be a pay to play game (as if that wasn't said yet ) , but you never know. It is starting to sound like many new games will have free servers. It all comes down to the company's money I guess.

also , they could make money by not having it p2p.
i mean, MUCH more people would consider getting it.
just look at guild wars.
I mean, for the GC you had to get the game, bb adapter (wich was REEEALLY expenice where i live) and a keyboard. thats alot of money.
and then get 8$ each month for actually playing.
i think more people would get pso for the gc if it was free...

Speaking of which, i assume therefore that a headset may be used for communicating through the PS2 version of Universe in online mode? I dont know how common PS2 Keyboards are :S

Also, i guess that is another way of looking at it. The game being free will encourage more people to buy the game. Then again, all of SEGA's MMO's have been pay to play so to speak. PSO & Matrix Online both require subscription fee's. I really dont know, you really cant tell with SEGA lol!

hm. headsets could be used both on pc and ps2 i supose.
Ps2-keyboards are not hard to get, btw.

Of course it will be pay to play - you have to pay the game shop £39.99 or however much it will cost to be able to take it home and play it! ^_^;

As for Pay to Play online play, I'm certain there'll be some sort of Hunter's License thingie involved (they'd better incorporate a credit card I own this time!)

Your getting ripped off pal, most games now are 29.99 - 34.99!!!
