In need of tips

some advice here amigos, por favor.

alright, at a level in the high 80's, my fiance and i are at ultimate and through the caves, but the caves in itself was a bear to beat. we don't do well in the mines.
naturally, levelling up in the forest is one excellent route to getting out of this rut, but my character is a Force and can really up the techniques so long as he can get the disks.

The problem is, I very very rarely find them with him. Maybe because he's a Viridia, I dunno. But I believe getting somewhere higher than 15 on all my tech's is more than necessary, but I can't seem to get'er done.
That, and we're finding a lot of fancy pants weapons in red boxes, but we're not finding ANY armors or barriers. Now, we focus mostly on ep. 1, so that may have something to do with it. Eh?
Tip me off friendly folk.

does anyone have any tips concerning where to find defensive items or is it by happenstance that we're finding weapons more?

well you are a force.........grab a red handgun , but do first the batle training, kireek will do a perfect shield, now raise the dfp atp and low the enemys atp and dfp, you are a force then you will have a biger atp,
also you can do vhard forest mines and ruins for better items and exp, do the ultimate forest as long as you can, that way you will find disks, if not , continue the hard work (nobody said that ultimate was easy)

actually, i do well in melee in the forest. not great, but well.
that's where i go to level up, but you are right. i find better secret items in the vhard ruins and caves. i know you said mines but i strike it pretty rich in the vhard caves too.
i think that's because i really dislike the caves and ruins. they take a longer time. heh.
according to A.S.'s link, I need to concentrate on Forest 2 as I'm looking for higher Foie.

i like the caves because they have realy good items but if we are talking about exp, then forget, you walk, walk, walk, walk, walk, walk, walk, walk, walk, walk, walk, and fight 2 enemys then walk, walk, walk, walk, to a swich and open a door walk, walk, more 2 criatures walk, walk, walk, walk, and finaly you find 20 enemys, on caves 2 and 3 it's the same (walk, walk, walk, )

try v hard ruins, or ult mines and spam rafoie. also, if you cant find any armours try a different section i.d as player 1- if you are viridia and always play as player one, try letting your fiancee be player one becase they may have a better i.d for armours.

actually she is always player one. so i'll try switching that up. and yeah, ult mines does drop a lot more magic by comparison to other places though i thought that might be in my head.

the harder the place, the higher lvl tech disc you'll get. the drop for tech discs doesnt change (i dont think) but the type does. thats why you should go to mine.
