Gamecube crashage.
#1
Heya, My gamecube is about 2 years old and I own PSO ep 1 & 2 and almost everytime I go into the episode 1 lobby after playing for a while (normally after I complete a quest) they lobby music <may> not come on and then I hear a clicking sound come from my GC and (unless I slap the side of the GC) my game will freeze for a second and crash, I know I can just hit it but Id like the problem to go away for good, any suggestions?

Get a new Gamecube!

I suffer with the same 'clicky' problems, on both Episodes I & II, and Episode III, aswell as many other games. Basically it's a Gamecube hardware problem that you'll need to get repaired. Well you dont NEED too, you can continue using your Gamecube as you are for the moment and just go on playing games by luck, as i do, or if it just gets worse and worse and comes to a point where it just doesnt read games anymore altogether, then get it repaired! In fact, buy a new Gamecube, its cheaper lol.

Firstly don't double post. Actually read the rules considering you ARE a member.

Secondly the cube is 99.99 not 120.

And thirdly call nintendos costumer support and thoughrully explain your problem. They told me in a little bit of a different sintuation I can send in the cube for it to get repaired or replaced by a refurbished one. Roughly both $50. So don't be too concerned about the price when you don't really know the sintuation. Smile

I used to hear a "clllIIICK" sound and then my GC would be fine after that. I took it as an early warning though and traded it in for a brand-spanking new Platinum GC at EBgames.
