No, pso has never been that style of game. PS, might be continued though, but that is not pso.

The PSO series will never be able to become nearly as legendary as Chrono Trigger or any SNES RPG. There's a few reasons:
1) ST refuses to bring PSO out to it's maximum potential.
2) ST will keep making sequels of PSO that include all the previous versions (ex. BB has EP1,2&4) so it will never become an extremely rare game
3) It will always be on a system that is still being manufactured, the SNES classics are no longer being made, so they have become very rare and put into that category of those golden age oldschool games.
4) When Sega dies, PSO dies. The ST severs will go down, that'll be the end of the PSO story line and of new PSO's. And then how are private serves going to be made for server-side game saving games like BB and probably anymore future PSO's? Then PSO will become unplayable and merely forgotten.

The whole Phantasy Star series may eventually though, many people do not know that there were 6 games set before PSO Ep1. 4 of these were available in Europe and the US, the other two (Adventure and Gaiden) solely in Japan.

These old games are pretty rare though, like SNES rares.

I'm still trying to get hold of a PAL PSIV. Impossible, unless I want to spend £60. And I don't really want to spend more than £30, unless it still has the instructions (like my copy of PSIII).

wait... this may seem out of place butare you people in Europe? I see the £ and don't know for sure, I know people who just like that form of money better than $

I prefer the pound, it's a stronger currency... But no, I'm British. So I'm looking for a PAL version because I can't use NTSC games.

Plus, my dad won't let me get an emulator. I'm also looking for the Saturn collection, because that contains PS IV.
