Why would he hunt Sange when he's currently using a Delsaber set? Sange is not rare, nor is it useful. To regain HP he could use a Chainsawd instead, which he will undoubtedly find in there too.

because its uber cool lookin. (figured out it wasnt rare when i licked it up in the item database >.>) and one step closer to sange+yasha. AND. if hes online he can trade it for a demo maybe. or chainsawd.

If you're able to, I suggest getting some Vulcans with nice Hit% and equipping /Arm units. A /Battle unit will also make you a painfully fast attacker. That's my strategy though.

im already using a devil battle but the best mech gun i have is sum cruddy gatling

find a gun with high % on hit and monster, try to find also guns with % on machine and dark (you will need them later) also lvlup the mags pow, use a celestial shield and a ultimate frame (get these at vhard ruins).

I'm not surprised you can't do Ult. Caves at lvl 86... i had to wait to about level 95,
till i could go through safely without dying...
i'm now level 101 and scared sh*tl*ss by the new gill chics... note the extra l... on ult. mines their scary as fook

when i first go to the ult forest at lvl 80 (after defeating vhard falz) i just said to me forget this, i need to gain exp , so i made a new mag (pow) add some god powers and started to do the forest with a double saber, at forest 2 found a red handgun and the forest and caves were easy but my hopes were gon after fighting the mines criatures , then i started to found %red handguns that helped me ALOT at passing the forest ,caves mines and ruins, thats why i have 3 red handguns.
mags, units, good weapons, grinders, % and techs may be awser to all.

i play ver.2 on dc so the weapons power and drop rates are different.
i'm an oran humar......the red saber, handgun are very easy to find in the ultimate forest and they have a really high atp and ata (the weapons name is writen in a glowing red) red sword and red dagger are more rare but you can still find them, red mechgun, slicer, partisan are impossible on ver.2 to find (really high drops ( 1/500.000 or higher))
go to ragol item database section and you will find all what you want.
go to the red.

yeah i've been there plenty of times... i will just have to hope and pray for a red weapon...
i really want one...
