Well, in any case, it'll be great for fighting games and 1st person shooters.
Heh. Maybe now I can show off my sword skills and not just my reflexes!
In any case, I like the fact that they partialy based it off of the old NES controller. We still love you, NES!

I bet if microsoft or sony made it you wouldnt be saying that... That aside, this controller is an awful idea.

It really dpends at first. Before the dolphin came out *cough* i mean the gamecube. The controllers for the dolphin were huge and the system was maybe bout 2cms bigger then the gamecube. So they revamped the dolphine into the gamecube and redid the controllers.
The revolution is great. And they may think bout revamping the controllers though. They do take heed to what is said on there own forums and what people need to say. They dont mind the truth bout what people think. So the revolution controller may be revamped, who knows. It may stay the same.
Dpending all in all of how many people like it.
To me it doesnt really matter as to what the controller looks like. Its the feel of it, and how well it works. not the looks, which is what most people judge this by. The new sony controller, for the ps3 has had many complaints when it had its showing at e3, how why it was soo big.
I wonder how long it will be till microsoft and playstation make something similar to this if all goes well.

In my opinion the only determining factor is how natural it feels in your hand.
I have to give props to GC's controller for fitting so naturally into your hand, and also being usefull. If this is a reflection of the same innovation that created the GC controller, it's all good.

microsoft and sony are only gonna sell what sold well yesterday, so they would never use the revolutions controler, it would require them to actually make newer games and take more chances. They would never risk their companies like that.

This is true.
Sony didn't even change the design of their controller at all for PS2!

Oh man, it's going to be so hard to get used to ^-^;. My first reaction to seeing that that is what Nintendo had been hiding all along was a kind of "ehhhh" feeling. I was assuming that they were going to come out with some spiffy new kind of "touch screen" type of controller (kind of like the DS). Ah well, I guess the only way I will know if I'll like it is to try it, so I'll just have to wait I suppose
