I never really thought of Ragol as Earth, more like the next planet we try to get to since we botched up Earth, lol. I figure it must be in our very distant future with the advanced technology all throughout the PSO world. Of course there are some ancient monuments all throughout Ragol, so who knows....I just assume that the planet itself is ancient, and we, as a new advanced race, are looking to inhabit it now, in the future.

Presumably, the Espers trapped the Profound Darkness on Ragol when it somehow got there. This is all speculation however, I have no proof for this specific piece of information.

yes, are the mines and the monuments from a past civilization? I think so.

The monuments would have been erected by the Espers - and since there exists one in the Mines, I'd believe that the Espers created this as well, although I think that Rico mentions that Pioneer One did.

The Cave is also man-made - probably by the Espers - although it could be another of Osto's labs...

But then what would have put the Monument there? Although it is quite likely that it was constructed by Pioneer 1.
