Stupid Cheap Gamecube Memory Cards
#1
Well, this happened a long time ago when i first got the game in July, my friend had me over to do 2 player and help me level up, we played all night and morning with out sleep, and i was at the point where i was about the same level as him, around level 20, then we went to save and him being the 1st player and haveing the Cheapy memory card corrupted my file but not his when he switched my guy back over, and then without going looking for any help, or asking his next door neighbour about it "drunken ranger you might no him as" he just clicks ok and wipes out my file yet luckily for me my character was fine, exept my hard worked on mag was gone, my weapons were gone, and all my money and items were gone. Is this just the memory card, which is what i've heard, or is it just bad luck?

I dont know which brand of memory card you have, but the one made by intranet seems to be cursed, kyros(my friend) has had his data corrupted and escaped unscaved, but once again, he got coorupt data, only on soul calibur II, not sure if he ever got rid of it, if not he'll have to really play to get it back. So in my opinion, the ones that arent made directly by nintendo have a higher chance of causing corrupt data.

Its probabily one of the reasons i prefer to buy the 'Official' stuff. Good ol Ninty, i trust them!

I will buy 3rd party stuff, but when it comes to important game saves (ie Memory Cards) ill hesitate to buy Non-Nintendo brand, simply because i value my saves, more then the games themselves! The only time ive bought Memory cards is when i got them for real dead cheap...or even free in one case!

Alot of 3rd Party memory cards arent as reliable as others. Your best on getting the Official Memory cards that Lee was talking about. Ive got them and theve been totally perfect for me.

My mate bought a 3rd Party Memory card about 1000 blocks on . Turns out a couple days that, it had already corrupted itself and deleted all his files Rolleyes

Ill only usually get hardware that is Official as it is more realible. I always aviod getting the cheap controllers as the dont feel quite right, and are just plain horrible really Rolleyes. If its something like a GBA Link Up cable, I couldnt care. Im not using it that often and it gets the job done anyway.
