Yeah, exactly. Any planet with a carbon-based population would look very similar to Earth because it would have gone through a similar process during its formation. Also, all carbon-based life evolve from the same basic starter-"cells" (at least, that's how I've heard it), so there really wouldn't be that much difference between out life and life on similar planets. Like how almost identical species can evolve in totally seperate locations, with no relation as far as genetics goes.
But listen, if this is going to be a scientific argument, then a definitive answer has already been reached. This is sci-fi! Sega can make Ragol whatever the hell they want it to be, and we can't do diddly-squat about it because its fiction!
Case closed, once and for all this time.
Of course, you're free to voice your opinions, but it seems that we've all come to an agreement, hmm?

Scientifically and historically, the answer is no. Using your imagination, the answer may easily be a yes.

Theoretically, the answer is also no - if we're taking this game series as real, then you cannot possibly consider it is earth. This is explained (partially) in Phantasy Star II.

Once I thought yes, we are Red Ring Rico. We must touch the columns in order to play the game. We must open the forbidden door to play the game. We then become the monsters (stronger than Ultimate Dark Falz and even Ultimate Olga Flow eventually, hopefully). But I was in a philosophical moment and a smoker at the time :S . (not cigarettes). Of course I don't smoke now and still feel the same way, and still plan on Becoming... as one of the offline quests repeat alot... if you catch my drift. It's still my favorite (and only game I have time for) to play. But that's just my view. Sorry for rambling. Laziness :beard: p.s. yes, in case you are wondering, I am more than a little nuts hehe. (or am I?)

On the single player game, when you read the messages and play, which most don't do, you do know you must touch the columns to open the door to the ruins. This enables us to get to Dark falz who then, according to flowens messages in episode 2, uses red ring rico's body, I think. It is kind of vague(the messages) but get more in depth in ultimate mode. Red ring rico says we've opened the forbidden door(to ruins). We must do this(touch the columns) to open the forbidden door and release Dark Falz. But we are even more powerful than him when we can beat him. But I've been accused(by myself) of thinking too much anyway. But you MUST touch the columns to open the door to the ruins. I was wondering if game creator was thinking this way.. but dont want to ramble anymore... I tend to do that. Sorry. I will write more if you like. Laziness :beard:

Right, to add to Laziness' post-

The pillars on Ragol are the locks that close the door to the Ruins (which Rico tells us is a Spaceship - probably Noah from PSII) and must be activated in order to unlock the door to the Ruins. These may have been placed by the Espers in order to trap something within the spaceship.

Personally, I believe that IT was the Profound Darkness (which is then fought in PSO Ep3) but that Rico was infected by the main extention of it into this dimension - Dark Falz (who was first seen infecting the body of the Governer of Motavia).

And yes, but in all difficulty modes, Rico does say - "We've opened the forbidden door. We must defeat it now, before that thing revives with the perfect body." She also refers to Falz as the god of destruction that revives every 1000 years, and this is true, but it is merely an extention of the Profound Darkness.
